Meet Cesar Santana

We recently connected with Cesar Santana and have shared our conversation below.

Cesar, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

My resilience comes from my passion for creating something meaningful in the streetwear space. I’ve always believed that challenges are part of the process, and each setback is an opportunity to refine and improve. I draw strength from the people who support the brand and the vision behind it—to provide hardworking men with functional, stylish pants. Seeing that impact pushes me to keep going, no matter the obstacles. It’s about staying focused on the bigger picture.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

As an entrepreneur for over 10 years, I’ve faced my fair share of challenges and failures, but those experiences led me to discover my true passion: fashion. I’ve always had a love for looking stylish, and founding PANTSBYSRE has allowed me to channel that passion into creating a brand that blends comfort, functionality, and streetwear aesthetics for hardworking men. What excites me most is crafting clothing that not only looks great but also serves a purpose. We’re currently expanding with new product launches that focus on premium materials and innovative designs, all while staying true to the needs of modern, everyday life.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. Resilience: I faced many failures before finding success, but resilience kept me going. The ability to bounce back from setbacks is crucial. My advice: embrace failure as part of growth. Each challenge is a learning opportunity. Keep refining your vision and pushing forward, no matter how tough it gets.

2. Adaptability: The market and trends are constantly evolving, especially in fashion. Being adaptable allowed me to pivot and innovate when needed. For those starting out, always be open to change and new ideas. Stay informed about your industry and be willing to adjust your strategy when necessary.

3. Understanding the customer: Knowing who you’re serving is key to building a brand that resonates. I learned to listen to my customers and create products that meet their needs. My advice is to focus on building strong relationships with your audience. Invest time in understanding their preferences, and always aim to solve a problem or enhance their lifestyle through your products or services.

For those early in their journey, developing these qualities can set a strong foundation. Be patient with yourself, stay curious, and never stop learning from both successes and setbacks.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

The most helpful force in overcoming challenges and building the skills I needed has been God. I’ve always led with faith, trusting that He has a plan for me, even when the road seemed uncertain. Through prayer and guidance, I’ve learned patience, perseverance, and the ability to stay grounded in my values. Relying on God has helped me push through obstacles, giving me the strength and clarity to make the right decisions. When I lead with God first, everything else falls into place, and I feel equipped to face any challenge.
