Meet Eva Vigouroux

We recently connected with Eva Vigouroux and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Eva , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

My confidence and self-esteem have developed through a combination of personal experiences, continuous learning, and a mindset focused on growth. Early in my career, I learned the value of stepping out of my comfort zone, whether that meant taking on challenging projects or assuming leadership roles that pushed my boundaries. Each successful experience built my confidence, while setbacks taught me resilience and the importance of perseverance.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

My confidence and self-esteem significantly grew when I decided to start a magazine in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. This was a challenging time, but I was driven by a passion to create something meaningful. I handled every aspect of the magazine—from photography and writing to editing—while my sister, Elise Vigouroux, supported me throughout the process. This experience pushed me far beyond my comfort zone, requiring me to learn new skills quickly and manage multiple roles simultaneously.

Starting from scratch and taking on such a broad range of tasks taught me that I could rise to the occasion, no matter how daunting the challenge. Over time, our magazine has grown, and we now have a dedicated staff. What began as a personal project during a global crisis has evolved into the first magazine in Spanish in Spokane, which is something I’m incredibly proud of.

This journey has not only strengthened my confidence but has also reinforced my belief in the power of perseverance, collaboration, and the importance of taking risks to achieve something greater.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

To anyone looking to build their confidence, I would emphasize the importance of adapting under pressure. Life will always present unexpected challenges, and being able to adjust and find solutions in difficult situations is a critical skill. Persistence is equally important; there will be times when things don’t go as planned, but pushing through those moments can lead to incredible outcomes. Perseverance, in the long run, is what turns dreams into reality.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

Work in home, with two kids 7 and 3 years old and be a single mom. Somedays I’m so tired but never stop! Be a mom is the most valuable thing in my life.
