We recently connected with Cleöcrt and have shared our conversation below.

CLEÖCRT , appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

I keep my creativity alive by taking note of the world around me. If you ever stop to take in the world, breathe it in and listen to her you will find that there is so much life so much creativity so many ways to be inspired
I see things as an outward reflection of myself so when I stand still to reflect on my environment I am able to internalize it and make it personal and speak to it. This is often what inspired my writing.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Most understand that I am a singer/performer. What most don’t understand is that I am a soulful observer.
I observe with my soul and create from my soul. My artistic expression stretches far beyond just simply singing music. I aim to embody it with my very existence.

My latest album “Rainy Days” was inspired by the sweet feeling of falling in love. This project came from a special place, as I had never dreamt I’d feel what it feels like to be deeply enamored. Oddly wonderfully enough that feeling was fleeting, which I am excited to speak to on my next music explorations.

Currently I am working on multiple things at once (no surprise there). A Christmas album that is scheduled for release November 15th on the full moon Titled “Cleocrt’s Christmas Carols”. I’m particularly excited to create this body of art because just 3 years ago around Christmas time my baby brother passed away, and since the holidays have never quite felt the same. I find that writing about him helps using the joy of Christmas to sing in his honor helps.
I hope that in all I create I am making my predecessors proud.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, A qualities or area of knowledge that was most impactful in my journey was 1.) Having knowledge of self.

This is something most people struggle with, regardless of profession, age, or creed. Most don’t know themselves therefore they do not know the world around them.
I’d advice for all who find themselves in this particular struggle is to go out and either explore to gain some kind of understanding of who you are, what you represent or what you stand for. Or to completely lose yourself in order to find yourself. Once you do this you will be reborn. You will speak and move with authority. Then, you will just begin to know yourself and see things clearer

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I am always looking for ‘New’ people, brands, ideas, to collaborate with, I believe that collaboration is a beautiful thing, and with collaboration comes incredible ideas, life changing experiences and can result in having glorious impacts on people far beyond your reach.
I’m looking to collaborate musically, and ‘performatively’ primarily. Work with more videographers and photographers for unique looks. Expanding my reach, I’d like to travel to more cities and perform for the souls that occupy that space. I’d like to network and for alliances with brands and companies. Looking for trustworthy advocates to form a team with.

I want my work to be quintessential and I am willing to invest my all behind it.
