Meet Edgar Huerta

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Edgar Huerta a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Edgar, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

My professional journey has been deeply shaped by overcoming my own fears. Being in a gay marriage for 17 years, I lived with the constant fear of facing my personal demons. But one day, I realized something: fear doesn’t exist unless we give it power. It dawned on me that I was capable of manifesting and creating my own dreams. The only real change we can make is internal, and fear will always try to convince you that you can’t. But who really owns your life?

When I understood that I had been giving all my power away to things that weren’t even real, I found the strength to not only transform my own life but also inspire others. I realized that my empathy and sense of responsibility could serve the community. As a realtor in Arizona with a background in arts, I’ve learned that life is about moving from fear to success—remembering that there’s nothing to fear, only solutions to find, wounds to heal, and a new home to enjoy.

To my LGBTQ+ family and to everyone reading this: Take back your power. The greatest changes come from within. We all deserve to live boldly, with the courage to manifest the life we dream of.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’ve always had a deep connection to creativity. My journey started when I was just 6 years old, diving into art at a young age. By the time I was 9, the government of Colima, Mexico, named me “The Child Painter,” which opened up opportunities to share my work with the world. Through my art exhibits, I was able to donate artwork to various nonprofits in Mexico, the U.S., and even Europe. Those early experiences shaped who I am today, allowing me to see the power of art to connect people across cultures and on a deeper, spiritual level. Speaking Spanish, English, and Italian has only strengthened those connections.

But my story doesn’t stop there. When I transitioned into real estate, I realized something important. Overcoming my own fears taught me that the gift I was born with—empathy and the ability to truly connect with others—isn’t something you can learn in any school, not even at Harvard. It’s a gift from God, and it’s what makes my approach in real estate different. I’ve always believed that my only competition is with myself because I bring a unique set of skills and perspectives to the table.

That’s why I’m so passionate about helping people not just find houses, but find homes where they can create new memories and live their best lives. I’m committed to guiding my clients through the real estate market with the same care and empathy that’s always been a part of who I am.

Recently, I developed a method called “From Fear to Success,” where I partner with other entrepreneurs to help people transform their fears into successes. Together, we guide individuals to overcome obstacles, discover their true potential, and develop manifestation techniques to create the life they truly deserve. It’s about unlocking what’s already within and learning how to use fear as a stepping stone, not a barrier.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three qualities that were most impactful in my journey are empathy, resilience, and the ability to manifest dreams.

1. Empathy: This has been a cornerstone of everything I do, from my art to my work as a realtor. Being able to truly understand and connect with people on a human level is a gift, and it’s something I believe can’t be taught. It’s about listening, feeling, and being present with others. My advice? Cultivate empathy by really getting to know yourself first. The deeper your self-awareness, the better you can connect with others.

2. Resilience: Overcoming my fears, especially within a 17-year gay marriage, taught me how crucial it is to keep going, even when things are hard. Resilience isn’t about avoiding challenges; it’s about learning to face them head-on. For anyone early in their journey, don’t shy away from discomfort. Embrace it, and let it teach you what you’re capable of.

3. Manifestation: Learning that I had the power to manifest my dreams was life-changing. It’s not about waiting for the perfect moment; it’s about creating it. I’ve learned to use visualization and intention to bring my goals into reality. My advice here is to start small. Set clear, meaningful intentions and take consistent action toward them. The more you practice, the more you’ll see how powerful you are.

For anyone just starting out, I’d say this: Know that the journey isn’t always easy, but it’s yours. Embrace your uniqueness, develop your empathy, and never stop believing in your ability to create the life you deserve.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Yes, I’m definitely open to partnering and collaborating with others.

Community Advocates: Those who are passionate about improving the lives of people in the LGBTQ+ community and beyond. Whether you’re involved in nonprofit work, social justice, or local initiatives, your insights and networks could help us reach more people and make a bigger impact.

Entrepreneurs and Coaches: Individuals who specialize in personal development, manifestation techniques, or business coaching. I believe there’s great synergy in blending real estate expertise with personal growth strategies, and your skills could complement the “From Fear to Success” methodology.
