Meet Streets Soprano

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Streets Soprano. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Streets below.

Streets , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I’d like to believe my work ethic comes from how passionate I am and how much I love as well as enjoy what I’m doing (Music). I also have a strong, motivated team around me so that always pushes me to be great. Ive been pushing “StreetsSoprano” and the TNBMG imprint non stop, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the past several years and have no plans to stop anytime soon.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m an artist at Black Soprano Family Records, LLC (Benny the Butcher) I also have an impressive imprint of my own, the ceo of Trust Nobody Music Group, LLC., mentored and managed by Leroi Johnson, the older brother of the late great “RickJames”. Also being said active manager for his brother “RickJames” and “TinaMarie”. I was raised by a single mother, with one older brother. After receiving a 3 1/2 year sentence for CPW2nd, coming from prison home for 3/ 4 months, being violated, being locked up during my violation period learning of “BennyTheButcher” being shot, had me in a slump. I knew if I wanted big bro to see anything in me, or to stand behind/ aside me, then I had to give my all 100% not one foot in, one foot out. I created the TNBMG, acronym in 2016 making it an official label and LLC in 2022. The most exciting things of my life and professional career, has to be having an impact on the youth in the communities across these states we touch and visit.
I also just released my 8th album to date, UHEARME2: They Fear What They Not Know, out now on all dsp’s. This is our biggest project and the music speaks for itself.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1.) Patience 2.) Consistency 3.) Self Discipline- I think for me the best way to approach these are to know what you really want to accomplish in your career. Ask yourself if you had no support, no help, no one to tell you “Good Job” can you keep going day in and day out? Now, can you still love any and everyone the same that could’ve helped you but didn’t? Do you love and respect yourself enough to love and respect your craft/ art? With all this being answered, can you discipline yourself enough to be patient, while being consistent? These 3 qualities are top 3 for me to develop professionally as an artist and stay st the top of my game.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

First I’d have to say “GOD” and trusting his path set for me, 2nd my mother, singly raising me and my older brother into the “Young Black Kings” we are today. Of course my business partner, “Vicky” and my artist “WesoGee” have been tremendous influences on self improvement and development. As well as the prison system (sad to say) helped me build and master the skills of respect and patience. My in house producer, Imminent Productions helped me build different qualities as a young black man, as well as multiple sound qualities. This list for so many reasons could continue, but to name just a few.
