We were lucky to catch up with Tracy Reola recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tracy, so great to have you with us and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with the community. So, let’s jump into something that stops so many people from going after their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. We’d love to hear about how you dealt with that and persisted on your path.
Growing up I have been surrounded by many children that seem to criticize my every move. The way I walk or the clothes I wear. If I stutter or if I fall. In my teenage years, I’ve known myself to be a black sheep. Not able to find a group of friends or one I can rely or call best friend. I have always been inspired to build things out of the creativity that comes to my heart and in my mind. Despite what the commonality of what people may say success is written with hard work done. I was told that creativity isn’t everything, however, I feel it has everything to do with success. I truly appreciate the haters or what I call the closed minded thinkers. It’s easy to see the money and success behind a solid career with the promises given once you graduate from college or private school. I feel when you create your path with self motivation with your hearts greatest passion, you drive yourself fighting the impossible. The biggest reward is seeing your dreams and aspirations come to fruition. I found that keeping to yourself, believing in yourself goes along way to. I see haters and nay-sayers as distractions that do not apply to me.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The Three qualities I feel I can say that stand out about myself is, Self Motivation, Faith and Discipline. Any Small Business owner who wants their business to be successful. I would suggest to seek guidance from another successful business. Take a lot of notes and ask many questions. Everything is about the belief you have in heart to make things work out. Once you have that belief, you make everything happen for it. Treat your business as your baby, That you want the best for it and in doing so in a cautious strategic manner.
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
My mother is an inspiration. I’m very grateful for her and the strength she always portrays. Since I was a little girl. My mother believed in anything I wanted to pursue, whether it be my aspirations of being an attorney to help the innocent bring our their voice in justice or the dream to become a singer on stage. She always encourages me, saying I can do anything I ever dreamed to be. She doesn’t stop supporting my creative ideas even if later on my years I wondered…”what was I thinking?”.. She is the best support any child can have. I believe that my mother showed me perseverance through the negatives, the doubts and the competition. I knew that the best thing I could ever do to repay her was to simply make sure my mother gets the optimal Preventative Health care I can offer. As I look back at my years, I realize my mother’s greatest strength was her patience and her greatest accomplishment includes her love for me.
