We were lucky to catch up with Torre Washington recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Torre, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
After going from low self esteem as I child, I started bodybuilding to become a super hero. Once I was able to create that physique my confidence went through the roof. Once I entered college and learned about my culture it raised self esteem. Now, that is not an issue.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I currently host events, speak to crowds of people in regards to vegan lifestyle and train clients in the Miami area. I’m also an IFBB Men’s physique competitor, personal trainer and physique coach.
What’s exciting about what I do is seeing the faces of people who have been able to change their physical shapes with my assistance.
I am currently in the process of getting my book out to the world.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Time management
Project management
Designing the physical body.
The advice I can give to people is that you need to be patient with your journey, it truly is a marathon as cheesy as it sounds. You reap what you sow but not the day you sow it.
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
The most impactful thing that my mom did for me is provided me with the knowledge of taking care of my health early.
