Meet Blair Miller

We recently connected with Blair Miller and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Blair, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?

For self-care, I make sure that my personal tasks are completed so my mind is clear to work. I don’t push personal tasks aside for work because I know that would lead to more stress and less focus. It’s all about balance. Additionally, I go on walks during lunch to clear my head and recenter for the rest of the day. This practice has a huge impact on my effectiveness, helping me stay grounded and focused.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

My company, Chaos Creators, is a boutique entertainment marketing agency dedicated to out-of-the-box social media marketing, fan engagement, and short form content creation. We are digital storytellers who develop cohesive brands and engaged fanbases for artists and creators. From on-site TikTok filming and editing, to rollout campaigns and content calendars, we use our extensive knowledge of Gen Z and TikTok culture to merge creativity and strategy.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, three qualities that were most impactful in my journey are resilience, self-sufficiency, and courage.

Resilience: The ability to bounce back from setbacks has been crucial. No matter how many obstacles I faced, resilience helped me keep going. My advice is to view challenges as learning opportunities. When something goes wrong, take time to reflect on what went wrong, but don’t dwell on it. Build the habit of getting back up quickly, and over time, you’ll develop an unshakable resilience.

Self-sufficiency: Being able to rely on myself has been empowering. This skill allowed me to take charge of my path and make confident decisions without always needing validation from others. For those early in their journey, work on improving your problem-solving skills. Learn how to research solutions on your own and trust your abilities. With time, you’ll become more self-sufficient, and that independence will give you the confidence to tackle bigger goals.

Courage: Facing fear head-on, even when I wasn’t sure of the outcome, made all the difference. Courage doesn’t mean not being scared; it means acting in spite of it. My advice is to take small risks regularly. Start with things that feel uncomfortable but manageable. As you gain more experiences overcoming fear, your courage will grow, and you’ll be able to face bigger challenges with more confidence.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

A book that has played an important role in my development is Traction by Gino Wickman, which offers a practical approach to managing and scaling a business through the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned from it is the power of well-documented processes. These processes provide consistency, enhance efficiency, and ensure that everyone in the organization has access to the knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively. They streamline onboarding, simplify delegation, and allow leadership to focus on strategic growth. By fostering a culture of process optimization, businesses can scale more efficiently and adapt to new challenges with ease.
