Meet Twinnie

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Twinnie a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Twinnie , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I began working in theatre from when I was a kid. I’ve been on stage since I was 4. I was always taught if you can act, sing and dance then you’d always have work. So I’m very grateful for that. I think that’s definitely work my work ethic began.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’ve been doing this for so long and it’s my true passion. My debut album Hollywood Gypsy was such a huge passion project and since then I’ve moved to Nashville, made my Opry debut, become one of CMT’s Next Women Of Country 2024, and also performed the US National Anthem at Geodis Park. I’m also going on tour in November in the UK and my new album Something We Used To Say is out November 8

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Resilience, dedication, and a sense of humour.

I would say definitely don’t let the no’s knock your confidence and make sure you stay true to yourself. If it’s meant for you then it won’t pass you by.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

I would say moving to Nashville from London was definitely a huge challenge in some aspects but it’s definitely helped me grow and improve both as a person and as an artist and has helped shape this next batch of music.
