We recently connected with Max Parisi and have shared our conversation below.
Max, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
I still suffer from these issues on a daily basis; however, when I am on set I strive to my very best on all of the projects I work on. I’ve learned to enjoy the moment and create what I want to create, it is an empty canvas waiting to be painted for the audience, so tell that story! When i start to plan ahead and create a shot list, make sure all my camera gear is charged and ready to go, ive found my confidence and self-esteem to bloom. As I piece together the puzzle, that is cinemaphotography, I begin to see the story developing and during this process I can see that I have a skill; which blossoms my confidence in this industry.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I started dabbling with cameras after I had graduated college, ive always been pretty artistic, but this was the very first time I had picked up a camera. My very first video was for my mothers auction house business, and once I had produced the final project, I received an overwhelming amazement in my very first video. That’s when I knew I could expand and develop this business
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Build relationships, you don’t need to be the best photographer or videographer, yes you need skills and understand the basics of your camera gear and so forth, but you don’t necessarily have to be THE best. If you can provide high quality videos, tell a story through your lens, and build relationships with others then you can have a striving business.
How would you describe your ideal client?
I am looking to expand my portfolio and create stories in other realms of videography. Im looking to help businesses tell their story and offer their products/services to their audience through storytelling. Whether that be for real estate, sports, cars and/or traveling.
