Karen, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

Building my confidence and self-esteem has been an ongoing journey. Before creating Brunetta, my brand, I was often filled with self-doubt and insecurity. But Brunetta has shown me how strong and brave I can be, as challenges have left me with no choice but to keep pushing forward. Each obstacle I’ve overcome has taught me to trust myself. Seeing everything I’ve achieved and endured fills me with confidence, especially in those unsettling moments.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am the owner of Brunetta Jewelry truck, a colombian jewelry brand with a unique twist: our cute jewelry truck, located in Nashville. We currently have two of these adorable trucks, and what truly excites me is how warmly both locals and tourists have embraced our brand. People love our concept, take photos, and are genuinely drawn to our pieces. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see how much joy our truck and jewelry bring to them.
One of our standout offerings is our charm bar, where customers can personalize their own jewelry, creating pieces that feel truly special and unique. We’ve also recently launched a collection of brooch pins that have been a hit-versatile pieces that pair beautifully with jackets, vests, pants, adding a stylish touch to any outfit. Brunetta is more than just a brand. it’s and experience, and I love creating these memorable connections through our jewelry.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are resilience, adaptability and a commitment.
Resilience have been essential because, as any entrepreneur knows, there are countless challenges along the way. It’s not just about having the strength to overcome obstacles, but also the determination to keep going when things get tough. Adaptability has also been crucial- I’ve learned that being open to change and willing to adjust my plans has often led to unexpected opportunities and growth.
For anyone starting their journey, my advice is to focus on building resilience by embracing challenges as learning experiences. Cultivate flexibility; allow yourself to pivot when necessary, and don’t be afraid of change-it often brings growth.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

My biggest area of growth over the past 12 months has been in building my confident as both a business owner and a brand creator. This year has brought some incredible opportunities, like expanding to a second jewelry truck and launching new products, but with each new step, I’ve also faced fresh challenges. Learning to trust my decisions and embrace each opportunity-even the uncertain ones- has pushed me to grow in ways I hadn’t anticipated. I’ve become more resilient, adaptable, and confident in my vision.
