Meet Jasmine Brandon

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jasmine Brandon a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?

I have learned over my years that regardless of what people may look like everyone has something that they can bring to the table. I know that I can learn from anyone , young, old, successful or not. I’ve always worked well in groups as a kid. I believe that working in customer service as a young adult shaped my overall judgement on working with people instead of alone.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am currently a party host . I host parties for women looking to have an extraordinary girls night out. My company is called Queen Scenarios LLC. We provide music , games and activities and I host the entire party. I really do enjoy watching women get together and really enjoy each other’s time. I’ve recently migrated into starting my own podcast. I’m super excited about it. The podcast is called “ Kewchie Konversations”. The podcast will be geared toward self improvement and relationships. The Podcast is scheduled to launch November 27th. 2024 ! Your able to watch the podcast visually on YouTube.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Confidence will take you further than you will ever imagine you can go. Consistency isn’t about doing everything right along the way it’s about continuous baby steps. Always be a student in any room you enter regardless of what you think you can learn from the other people in the room.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

In the past 12 months my biggest area of growth would undeniably have to be self improvement. I’ve been investing my time into helping others with issues they may come in contact with on a regular basis. I’ve become so much better at just being a positive energy source for myself and other people.
