We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Pollyanna Blanco. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Pollyanna below.
Hi Pollyanna, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My capacity to be resilient comes from choosing a soul-guided life, listening to my heart, and cultivating an ongoing connection to my spirituality, creativity, and Divine Mastery Presence. What that means and looks like for me is noticing what I am noticing from an expanded witnessing presence. I set the intention to be curious and pay attention to whether the inner messages are being relayed to me by my thoughts, emotions, body, or spirit from an open and curious observer presence that is neutral, compassionate, and non-judgmental.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Ever since I was a child, I have been an artist soul, a dancer, and passionate about working with light, color, and energy when I noticed that applying green light after my wisdom teeth had been removed helped to reduce the pain and speed recovery. Shortly after that as a teen, I remember wondering as I was washing dishes with my mom what would come after the scientific revolution and receiving a profound vision that it would be a creative one. In my mid-twenties I also experienced a Reiki session that offered a palpable clear vision that the energy on earth was so dense and that love could move mountains. These early experiences sparked my spiritual awakening journey, igniting a passion to explore energy healing, chakras, and the intuitive arts while honoring my artist soul who wanted to keep dancing and writing.
What emerged through thirteen years of competitive ballroom dancing, two marriages, a personal health scare, dealing with intense family health concerns, and mild PTSD, while teaching high school visual arts and special education full-time was a weaving of spirituality and creativity to strengthen my resilience no matter what life was showing me. What became clear was a deep calling from within to help lightworkers, empaths, and HSPs care as much for themselves as they care for the world while birthing their dreams by restoring the sacred to their self-care. What I had noticed along the way was that conventional self-care overlooks that nourishing our divine connection and creativity is essential for becoming radiantly resilient.
As a seeker for many years, I was magnetically drawn to the esoteric and mystical, thirsty to explore the energetic realms, sensing there was a greater purpose for why we are all here and why we go through challenging experiences. Creative courage offered me the inspiration and grit to keep following the intuitive breadcrumbs for over two decades as I learned to embrace my soulful self while in the Divine Connections Practitioner program at the Transformational Arts College in Toronto, studying and training in many modalities from Usui and Samhara Reiki, Infinity Healing, Magnified Healing, Avesa Quantum Healing, medical intuition, Chakradance, and Trauma-Informed Practitioner training, Ascended Numerology, Sacred Rudraksha, and Sacred Anointing, as well as becoming certified as a Building Personal Resiliency Mentor with the HeartMath Institute. What emerged from all of those experiences was a calling to serve as a Sacred Self-Care Coach, Quantum Energy Healer, Creative Midwife, Intuitive Guide, Chakradance Facilitator, and Author.
Being around like-hearted and minded beautiful creative souls inspired me to step out of the ‘spiritual closet’ more and more and shake off any perceptions from those around me who might have dubbed me ‘woo-woo’ and choose authenticity. I feel so grateful and blessed for those who came before me and illumined the path for me. So now I focus on linking arms and giving back. It’s so fulfilling to walk beside others as they are experiencing their inner emergence process too, hold sacred loving space for them, and witness their divine creative expansion journey.
During the pandemic I collaborated with twelve other soul sisters on a passion project book, We Are the Sacred Feminine Rising for which one hundred percent of the proceeds go to the Native Women’s Association of Canada. My first book, In Rhythm With Your Soul: Breakthrough the Barriers to Being Creative, Face Your Daimons and Dance is now celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and I’m offering a free book club starting Nov. 3, noon EST over Zoom to help people learn more about the cosmic dream-birthing process I help guide people through. I also support busy creative souls now through my Luminous Lightworker Coaching & Healing container where I offer private, customized one-on-one coaching/mentoring over distance. I also offer a self-guided online sacred self-care program, Creating Calm In A Crazy World By Balancing Your Chakras. As well, I host a weekly YouTube podcast, Chakra-Care for the Creative Soul at Oneness Talk Radio, and on my Multidimensional Muse YouTube channel. I also co-host the Power of 8 Book Club with Jennifer Smith on Meet The Light YouTube and my own channel.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Hindsight is so helpful. Looking back the three qualities that have guided me well have been calm curiosity, spiritual tenacity, and loving presence. To unpack these I would like to start by saying that calm curiosity has been healing. The mind of form is like a really good nightclub bouncer, it loves to keep the “new ones” out, and it’s great at its job of keeping us “safe”. The only thing is that ironically it often keeps us stuck in the very fear, doubt, and hesitancy we want freedom from. When our nervous system is calm we can be more creative and can shift from a fixed mindset into an open one where “I wonder if” becomes a new mantra. As we nourish calm we can start to call in more self-trust and this opens us to our divine connection, adding a capital “T” to our Trust that there’s an expanded presence that has our back in the universe. Surprise, surprise, the illusion of separation and feeling alone becomes dust, the universe is an expanded us tuned in and tapped into the oneness!
There’s a saying I have used that’s kept me anchored, “Eyes on the divine at all times.” It can be so easy to get emotionally Velcro-ed into life’s plot twists, distorted stories, and victimology that this one phrase – coupled with my innate Taurean stubbornness reframed as tenacity – and a desire to connect with Divine Creative Source energy has provided me a rope ladder out of the mosh-pit moments of life. So spiritual tenacity, that unrelenting faith in my capacity to co-create has stood me well. It’s reminded me to step back from the immediacy of the moment and reframe the experience from my soul’s perspective to help me grow.
Cultivating a loving presence has also helped me to release judgment and nourish compassion for myself and others, unwind my inner critic, and look for those hidden treasures buried in the shadows of my inner “junk drawer”. Even in those “ick” moments, where I would have rather not taken credit for what out-pictured, thinking, “Really now… what in me invited this to be? Are you serious!” my divine mastery presence practice has provided me with a slew of subtle and not so subtle “Choose Your Adventure”-like nuanced choices from which to re-align with, to lift me out and up. Loving everything that shows up and into the light of our conscious awareness, regardless of whether it feels good or not, seeing it as fertilizer for the soul, blessing, thanking, and dissolving it by trusting ourselves through the process is the gateway to new timelines of enhanced peace, love, and joy.
Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
The beautiful creative souls that I am here to support are those who are ready to step out of the “spiritual closet” when it comes to expressing their sacred soul gifts into the world. I understand firsthand how overwhelming and scary that can feel. As a high school teacher for 27 years now, when my book In Rhythm With Your Soul came out I felt like I was standing naked before my colleagues, especially when it came to the more scientifically focused section in the book as a self-identified right-brain, humanities-focused university graduate. Since then talking about Ascension work more openly has had its internal roller coaster moments where I questioned if it was safe to do so, weighing whether I should dilute or temper how I present my work. What won out ultimately was the desire to serve others well and be in my integrity outside of my personality’s editorial team and peanut gallery, to contribute to the New Earth consciousness that is emerging on the planet
So my ideal client is someone who has been feeling an inner inkling to step out of their comfort zone and trust their higher vision for what they most want to contribute to the world’s new consciousness expansion in any sector. There’s a high chance they are straddling a current career/job and dreaming of transitioning into a more aligned one with their soul purpose. They are all in, ready for transformation, committed to doing their inner work, and open to an ascended perspective on themselves as divine co-creators. There are many coaches out there, and as my most recent client shared, it can be less common to find one who marries ascension work and coaching. My deepest heartfelt wish is that in a handful of years, it will be far more prevalent to see people everywhere, in all sectors, infusing divine creativity and sacred self-care into the most mundane moments so we each can contribute our piece of the puzzle to co-creating heaven on earth.
