We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Shana Abraham a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Shana, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Finding my purpose has been a transformative journey rooted in both fitness and mindset. As I faced my own physical challenges and mental barriers, I discovered the incredible power of resilience and self-improvement.
Through dedicated fitness training, I not only transformed my body but also cultivated a strong sense of discipline and commitment. Simultaneously, I worked on my mindset, learning to overcome self-doubt and embrace a positive outlook. This dual transformation fueled my passion for health and wellness, leading me to become a personal trainer and nutrition coach.
Now, my purpose is clear: I want to use the knowledge and experiences from my journey to help others achieve their own transformations. By combining effective fitness strategies and mindful nutrition coaching, I aim to empower individuals to break through their limitations and foster a healthier lifestyle. I believe that with the right guidance and support, anyone can unlock their potential and find their purpose, just as I did.

I am a personal trainer and nutrition coach, and my professional journey is deeply intertwined with my personal transformation. Having experienced firsthand the profound impact that fitness and mindset can have on one’s life, I am passionate about helping others achieve their own health and wellness goals.
What excites me most about my work is the ability to inspire and motivate individuals to believe in themselves and their potential. Each client’s journey is unique, and I thrive on tailoring fitness programs and nutrition plans that resonate with their specific needs and aspirations. Witnessing someone overcome obstacles, gain confidence, and transform not just physically but mentally is incredibly rewarding.
My brand is built on a foundation of authenticity and support. I strive to create a welcoming environment where clients feel empowered to explore their limits and embrace their journey. I believe in the power of education; I equip my clients with the knowledge they need to make informed choices about their health and wellness, fostering long-term, sustainable habits.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Reflecting on my journey, three qualities that have been most impactful are resilience, adaptability, and a growth mindset.
1. **Resilience**: The ability to bounce back from setbacks is crucial in any transformation journey. There were times when progress felt slow or obstacles seemed overwhelming, but embracing resilience helped me push through challenges. For those early in their journey, I recommend cultivating resilience by setting small, achievable goals and celebrating each success, no matter how minor. This builds confidence and reinforces the belief that you can overcome difficulties.
2. **Adaptability**: As I learned more about fitness and nutrition, I realized that what works for one person may not work for another. Being open to change and willing to adjust my approach allowed me to find solutions that fit my unique needs. For beginners, I suggest being flexible with your plans and strategies. Experiment with different workouts, nutrition styles, and mindsets until you discover what resonates with you. Embrace the idea that it’s okay to pivot as you learn and grow.
3. **Growth Mindset**: Adopting a growth mindset—believing that abilities and intelligence can be developed through dedication and hard work—has been transformative. It encourages a love for learning and resilience in the face of challenges. For those starting out, I recommend embracing challenges as opportunities for growth rather than viewing them as setbacks. Surround yourself with supportive communities, seek feedback, and focus on the process rather than just the end result.
By nurturing these qualities, individuals can build a strong foundation for their journey. Remember, it’s not about perfection; it’s about progress and the willingness to keep moving forward, no matter the pace.
