We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Liz Dominis. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Liz below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Liz with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My mother. As a kid I looked at my mum for inspiration. She dedicated her life to her profession, whilst raising three young children. Honestly I don’t know how she did it but I knew that that’s what I wanted to do too but in my own way.
When I saw her studying, I wanted to study too. I saw her reading a book and so I thought to do the same – except she was doing high level literature – and I’d summarize Lizzie McGuire books.
The principle really stuck with me though. I still value knowledge and academics, I even get excited going to the library – its surrounding yourself in the atmosphere you know?
Now days, I live by this rule. Do something once a day that revolves around improving your body, mind, and spirit. Gym, work, music. Repeat.
You can’t go wrong.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
At the heart of what I do as an artist/DJ is the passion for creating immersive and unique experiences through sound. As a dubstep DJ and music producer, I focus on pushing the boundaries of bass-heavy beats and crafting sets that bring people together on the dancefloor. What excites me most is how music can create a shared space where emotions and energy flow freely—it’s powerful, raw, and deeply personal.
My brand, ‘Lizzard,’ reflects not only my love for dubstep but also my dedication to individuality and self-expression. Music, for me, is more than just beats; it’s a form of storytelling and connection that crosses barriers. Each set or track I produce is an exploration of sound and emotion, and I strive to leave people feeling both energized and inspired after each performance.
Whether it’s a new mix, an EP drop, or a live event .I’m always working to keep my sound fresh and evolving. Stay tuned for more updates, and I can’t wait to share what’s next with you all!
2025 is looking promising.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Discipline
Open mindedness
Vulnerability.
I would probably say just be aware of your surroundings and understand it’s going to be a long journey, so it’s super important to stay focused with your thoughts and actions.
You might want to think about your current lifestyle, ask yourself – does this align with my goals? Am I doing the best I can under these circumstances?
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Absolutely!
Gosh my dream would be; Jessica Audiffred, Ray Volpe, Crankdat and Viperactive!!
I’m sure I’m missing a bunch though …… 😂 I source inspiration from so many talented people!
