Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Enjoli Branch. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Enjoli , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My work ethic comes from my mother, who taught me what it means to work with both grit and grace. She owns her own salon, and from a young age, I was right there beside her, learning the ins and outs of running a business. Watching her rise early, work late, and treat every customer like family, I saw firsthand the power of dedication and heart.
She’s always been unwavering—a woman who keeps God at the center of everything she does and leads with a faith that makes anything possible. No obstacle ever stopped her—not a lack of money, time, or resources. Her example built the foundation for how I run my own business today, treating every bar of soap and jar of body butter with that same commitment to quality and integrity.
With her example of success after success, I learned that if you’re led by faith and fueled by resilience, dreams become reality. And now, knowing she loves the products I make, that’s a full-circle blessing that drives me even further.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
At Heritage Mountain, we’re all about crafting authentic, handmade goat milk soaps and body butters right from our family ranch. What sets us apart? It’s simple—we hand-milk our goats daily, and every batch of soap and body butter is made by me. There’s something special about knowing exactly where our ingredients come from, and I think that connection shows in every product we create.
Our story is pretty wild. I grew up in Los Angeles, and I never imagined I’d be living in the High Desert Mountains, raising goats and homeschooling seven kids. But during COVID, everything changed. We took a leap of faith, left the hustle of the South Bay behind, and embraced ranch life. It wasn’t easy, but there’s something incredibly fulfilling about working with your hands and nurturing a piece of land.
My husband, who served in the military, is my assistant milker and partner in this adventure. Together, we balance the chaos of ranching with homeschooling, and every day is an exciting blend of challenges and joys. I pour my heart into each product, knowing they’re not just soap and body butter; they’re a reflection of our life, our struggles, and our victories.
We’re also thrilled to announce some upcoming offerings, like an eco-friendly dish soap bar that aligns with our commitment to sustainability. Plus, we’ll be hosting meet-and-greets with the goats, giving folks a chance to connect with our furry friends and learn more about our ranch life firsthand. It’s all part of our journey to make clean living accessible and meaningful.
At the end of the day, I want people to know that when you buy from us, you’re not just getting a product; you’re becoming part of our story. This is who we are—raw, real, and deeply rooted in family, faith, and service.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back on my journey, I’d say the three most impactful qualities that helped me succeed are trusting God, believing in myself, and a fierce determination to take action.
First, trusting God has been at the core of my journey. I truly believe He put me in this moment for a reason, and knowing that being successful at it is the only option gives me strength. For anyone starting out, I can’t stress enough how important it is to lean on your faith. Embrace the belief that you are exactly where you’re meant to be, and that you have something valuable to offer.
Second, researching everything and being open to conversations with others has been a game-changer for me. I learned to ask questions and admit when I didn’t know something, which opened doors to knowledge and support I didn’t expect. Don’t hesitate to reach out to others in your field or community. Most people are more than willing to share their experiences and wisdom if you just ask.
Lastly, the biggest lesson for me was not to procrastinate. I had those voices in my head telling me to wait or that I wasn’t ready, but I pushed through that hesitation. If I had let procrastination win, I’d still be staring at a rough-cut soap with a paper band on it, giving it away to friends. So, take action, no matter how small it seems. Each step forward builds momentum, and soon you’ll be surprised by how far you’ve come.
To anyone on a similar journey, embrace your faith, stay curious, and take action! Your dreams are waiting for you to chase them.
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
It may sound cheesy, but the person who has been most helpful in my journey is my husband, Walter. At every point when I doubted myself, wanted to give up, or thought my products weren’t good enough, he was there, pushing me forward. He’d remind me, “Don’t overthink it; you got this!” His unwavering belief in me has been a constant source of strength. Whenever fear crept in about running a business, he never left me uncertain. His encouragement has been instrumental in helping me develop the essential skills and confidence I needed to succeed. I truly wouldn’t be where I am without his support.
