We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Dr. Timogi a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Timogi, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
It was 2005 and my weight was it its heaviest. I had given birth, twice in the last 5 years, though a stay-at-home mom I was unhappily married, and I had not completed my undergraduate degree. Could I feel less beautiful, less powerful, less worthy of my voice?
Well, I also had begun writing poetry again and wrote, illustrated, and self published a line of greeting. I learned to sew and would make custom dresses and a signature item called “The Skirt” which hugged every curve of my plus-size, hourglass shaped body. The juxtaposition of low self esteem and high creativity created a paradox of which creativity had the loudest roar and in that I began to re-embrace my value.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Resilience is a superpower. Falling is not a choice but getting up is! Choose to get up every time you fall.
Be Pivot-Able. Adaptability allowed me to navigate different industries, from corporate to higher education, and embrace the ever-evolving landscape of entrepreneurship.
Serve. A service-centered mindset has always grounded me in purpose, reminding me that my work is not just for me—it’s about lifting others up and creating spaces where everyone can thrive.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
Create & Facilitate serves organizations committed to transformation who make their people their first priority. They value training and development because they understand that the success of their people directly influences the success of their business.
