Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alyssa Luckey. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Alyssa, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Finding my purpose has been a gradual process shaped by personal experiences and a deep desire to help others. Growing up in rural Wisconsin, I faced significant responsibilities at a young age, like caring for my younger siblings and working two jobs in high school to support myself and my siblings. These challenges taught me resilience and gave me a strong sense of empathy.
When I started sharing my stories on TikTok during the pandemic, I wasn’t aiming for anything other than connection. But I soon realized that my vulnerability was empowering others to embrace their own truths. That’s when things clicked—I could blend my personal experiences with my passion for authentic communication to inspire and uplift others.
As a project manager in the pharmaceutical field, I found a sense of fulfillment in leading teams to build something that genuinely impacts lives. That alignment between my work and my values has been key in finding my purpose. Today, whether it’s creating content that resonates with people or managing projects that help patients, I feel like I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
By day, I’m a project manager working in the pharmaceutical industry, where I lead teams to develop clinical trial software that makes a real impact on patients’ lives. But outside of that 9-5, I channel my creativity into content creation, focusing on spreading joy, positivity, and raising awareness about important issues. I’ve always believed in the power of authenticity, and through my platform, I share my life in a way that connects with others on a deeper level.
Recently, I’ve expanded my work into User Generated Content (UGC), collaborating with brands to create content that aligns with their values while staying true to my own. It’s been exciting to dive into this space, as I love producing content that tells a story, whether it’s promoting wellness products or sharing relatable experiences that uplift others. My goal is to keep growing this aspect of my work while staying grounded in the principles of authenticity and impact.
What I find most special about this journey is the ability to balance both sides of my life—being a part of important work in clinical trials during the day, and using my free time to create content that spreads positivity and helps others. It’s a blend that keeps me energized, and I’m excited to continue sharing that with my audience.
As for what’s next, I’m continuing to build my UGC portfolio, working with new brands, and launching Luckey Charm Creations, my small business where I’ll be offering photography services. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I can’t wait to see where it goes.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Resilience came from growing up in a small town with a lot of responsibility at a young age. Whether it was caring for my siblings or working two jobs in high school, those challenges taught me the importance of perseverance and staying strong in difficult situations. In any journey, especially one as unpredictable as content creation or managing clinical trial projects, you’re going to face setbacks. My advice is to embrace those challenges—each one helps you build resilience, which is critical for long-term success.
Authenticity has been equally crucial. Early on in my content creation journey, I struggled with trying to fit in and follow trends, but it wasn’t until I embraced my true self that I began to thrive. Whether you’re just starting out or further along, don’t be afraid to be vulnerable and share your unique perspective. People connect with authenticity, and it’s what makes your journey meaningful, not just to others but to yourself.
Lastly, adaptability is key. Both in my project management role and as a content creator, I’ve had to adjust to new situations, technologies, and expectations. The ability to pivot when things don’t go as planned is a skill that will serve you in any field. My advice for those early in their journey is to remain open to change. Learn as much as you can, experiment with new ideas, and don’t be afraid to fail—each experience teaches you something valuable.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
One of the biggest challenges I’m currently facing is imposter syndrome. Despite the progress I’ve made in my career and content creation, I sometimes struggle with the feeling that I’m not enough or that I don’t truly belong in the spaces I’ve worked hard to get into. It’s this internal battle between knowing I’m capable and questioning whether I deserve the success I’ve had.
To overcome this, I’ve been focusing on reminding myself of the work I’ve put in and the value I bring to the table, both in my professional life and as a creator. Therapy has been incredibly helpful in managing these feelings, as well as talking openly about them with others who feel the same. I’ve also learned to lean into the discomfort. Rather than letting imposter syndrome hold me back, I use it as a signal that I’m pushing myself out of my comfort zone and growing.
Most importantly, I’ve realized that everyone has moments of self-doubt—it’s normal. What matters is how you push through it, acknowledge your accomplishments, and keep moving forward. One step at a time.
