Meet Nathaniel Spencer

We recently connected with Nathaniel Spencer and have shared our conversation below.

Nathaniel, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

Knowing that everyday is a new opportunity to do better then your last.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am an Auto Detailer based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While my passion isn’t rooted in a love for cars, it comes from a deep appreciation for business and the opportunity to provide value. I saw a way to create something that benefits not only my family but also my employees. In just under two years, we’ve grown to serve over 60 customers across Broward County, consistently delivering top-quality detailing services. Our focus remains on offering excellent service and building a business that supports everyone involved.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are the ability to optimize, thinking fast on my feet, and strategizing far into the future. Optimization is key in business, whether it’s improving processes or maximizing resources. Being able to think quickly on my feet has helped me navigate unexpected challenges and make smart decisions under pressure. Long-term strategy allows me to not only grow the business but also plan for sustainable success.

For those early in their journey, I recommend developing problem-solving skills by constantly looking for ways to improve what you’re doing. Stay adaptable and learn how to make decisions confidently, even in uncertain situations. Lastly, always have a long-term vision—it’s easy to get caught up in day-to-day tasks, but thinking ahead will help ensure your business thrives.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

The number one challenge I’m currently facing is turning new clients into recurring work. While attracting new clients is important, retaining them and building long-term relationships is key to sustaining the business. To overcome this, I’m focusing on improving customer retention by offering personalized service, following up regularly, and introducing loyalty programs. Additionally, I’m working on creating a seamless and memorable experience for every client to encourage repeat business and referrals.
