We recently connected with Pisceze and have shared our conversation below.
Pisceze, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
I’ve learned the importance of staying true to myself and trusting my own instincts, rather than constantly seeking advice or validation from others. Over-comparing yourself to others can leave you feeling stuck and disconnected from your true character.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Singer, songwriter, and gamer—what’s up! I go by Pisceze, which is inspired by my zodiac sign. I’m a true Pisces, known for being in touch with our emotions, super intuitive, and naturally empathetic. We’re natural healers, and when I started making music, I saw how it connected with others, so it just felt right to embrace that as my artist name.
When I’m creating, I feel the most aligned and authentic. My biggest inspiration is love—it’s universal, with so many different ways to show it and countless interpretations, whether it’s for friends, a relationship, or family. My creative process is all about channeling what I experience into my music. Sometimes, I’m in a high-energy, vibing mood after a couple of drinks, and that’s when tracks like “Superstar” come to life. Other times, I’m deeply connected to my emotions or the energy of those close to me, which inspires more vulnerable songs like “Heartbreak.”
I like to build my songs with layers, filling them up with energy, love, and vibes to create something that feels full and alive.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, three key qualities that really shaped my journey were emotional awareness, adaptability, and persistence.
Emotional awareness is huge for me. Being in touch with my feelings and understanding what I’m going through helped me create music that feels genuine and connects with others. For those just starting, I’d say don’t shy away from your emotions—embrace them. It’s where the most authentic art comes from.
Adaptability is also essential. The music industry is always changing, and you have to be open to evolving with it. Don’t be afraid to experiment with new sounds or try new things. Trust your instincts, and be willing to take risks.
Lastly, persistence is everything. It’s easy to get discouraged, especially in the beginning, but consistency is key. Keep working on your craft, stay open to growth, and never lose sight of why you started. It’s all about staying true to yourself and finding joy in the process.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?
Right now, one of the challenges I’m facing is balancing creative authenticity with external expectations. As I grow in my career, there’s this natural pressure to cater to trends or what people expect from me. But staying true to my voice and message is something I value deeply, so I’m constantly working on finding that balance between evolving as an artist and not losing sight of what makes me *me*.
It’s definitely a learning curve, but I’m embracing it as part of the journey. I remind myself to trust my instincts and create from a place of truth, even if it means going against the current.
