Meet Vidhi Thakkar

We recently connected with Vidhi Thakkar and have shared our conversation below.

Vidhi, we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?

For self-care, I prioritize mindful eating, regular exercise, quality sleep, and continuing education. These habits keep me energized, mentally resilient, and aligned with the guidance I provide my clients. I also reflect daily and spend time with loved ones, which grounds me and enhances my effectiveness as a nutritionist.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

As a nutritionist and dietitian, my journey centers around empowering individuals to transform their health through mindful and balanced eating. My brand, “Chubby to Chiseled,” is more than a catchy phrase—it represents the transformative power of nutrition and lifestyle changes to create lasting health. I work one-on-one with clients, focusing on sustainable, realistic goals and providing guidance that aligns with their unique needs.

What excites me most about this work is witnessing my clients’ journeys as they develop healthier relationships with food, gain confidence, and see the impact of their efforts. Nutrition isn’t just about following a meal plan; it’s a lifestyle shift that radiates into every area of life.

Currently, I’m expanding my reach through online courses and community programs, creating a supportive space where people can learn and grow together. This approach lets me support more individuals in a flexible and accessible way. As we go into the holiday season, I’m also running a “Mindful Festivities” program to help clients enjoy celebrations while staying aligned with their health goals. It’s my mission to make wellness approachable, enjoyable, and transformative for everyone I work with.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The three most impactful qualities and skills on my journey as a nutritionist are empathy, evidence-based knowledge, and effective communication. Here’s how they shaped my path and how they can benefit others starting out:

1. Empathy
Connecting with clients on a personal level is essential. Understanding that each person’s journey is unique allows for better guidance and stronger client trust. For beginners, practicing active listening and focusing on clients’ needs over pre-set goals can help cultivate this trait.
2. Evidence-Based Knowledge
Staying updated on the latest nutrition research is crucial, especially in a field where information changes constantly. Reliable knowledge empowers me to provide my clients with the most accurate, effective guidance. For those starting, I’d recommend investing time in continuing education, certifications, and reading reputable studies.
3. Effective Communication
Translating complex nutritional science into actionable, understandable advice is key to client success. Without clear communication, the best guidance might not be helpful. To develop this skill, practice simplifying information and focus on feedback to refine how you convey ideas.

For anyone beginning their journey, combining these qualities—while staying true to your passion—will build a strong foundation for impactful, rewarding work.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Absolutely! I’m always open to collaborating with like-minded individuals and professionals who share a passion for promoting holistic health and wellness. I’m especially interested in working with fitness trainers, mental health counselors, wellness coaches, and brands focused on sustainable, health-conscious products. Collaborations that bring together diverse expertise allow us to offer a more comprehensive approach to health and create even more value for our communities.

If you’re interested in collaborating, I’d love to connect! You can reach me through my social media profiles or email. Let’s bring our strengths together to help more people achieve balanced, healthier lives.
