Meet Faith Perry

We were lucky to catch up with Faith Perry recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Faith with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

Growing up, I was fortunate to have a front-row seat to watch my mother, a remarkable woman with unwavering resilience. She was a powerhouse in every sense—relentlessly hard-working, resourceful, and wise. As a single mother, she not only managed our household but also took on extra work to ensure we were well taken care of. She exemplified strength, and from her, I learned one of the most valuable lessons of my life: never lay all your eggs in one pot. She taught me the importance of creating multiple avenues of security, encouraging me to think beyond the present and plan for the future.

Beyond her daily grind, my mother had a different kind of wealth she wanted to pass on to me: financial knowledge. She believed that understanding money and credit was a cornerstone of independence, so she exposed me to concepts like budgeting, credit, and investment at an early age. I remember sitting at our kitchen table while she explained how credit worked—not just as a way to buy things, but as a tool for growth and opportunity. This sparked something in me. I began to see credit not only as a practical tool but also as a means to build stability and empower others.

But my journey to developing my skills in credit repair wasn’t straightforward. There were countless hours of studying, mistakes made, and humbling experiences along the way. I dived into reading everything I could find on credit, from FICO scoring models to credit regulations. I wanted to master every detail so I could help others with the same clarity and confidence my mother had instilled in me.

In the beginning, I faced plenty of challenges. Credit repair and financial education require deep patience, as each client’s situation is unique and complex. But remembering my mother’s work ethic, I powered through. I set up detailed systems, developed a habit of daily learning, and approached each challenge with determination. I made a promise to myself that I would embody the same resilience and strength I had seen in her. Gradually, I became not only skilled but also driven to make a difference.

Today, as I help people understand, repair, and maintain their credit profiles, I feel that I’m not just passing on knowledge—I’m honoring my mother’s legacy. She planted the seeds of financial independence in me, and in turn, I help others achieve the same freedom and confidence. Her lessons on resilience, resourcefulness, and financial wisdom have become the backbone of The Perry Enterprise, and I am endlessly grateful for the foundation she provided. Her legacy lives on in every client I help, every credit report I repair, and every financial goal I help others achieve.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

As a Credit Education Specialist, I began my journey into the world of credit at 18, but it wasn’t until I was 27 that I transformed my passion into a business. My mission is simple yet powerful: to create hope for those who have lost their way with credit, whether they were never taught how credit works or encountered hardships along the way.

My brand is built on meeting people where they are. For those who want to learn and repair their credit independently, I’m here to guide and educate. For those who need direct credit repair services, I’m ready to provide them. My ultimate goal is to empower each person to feel in control of their financial journey, whatever their starting point may be.

Inspired by my own experience as the child of a single mother, I created a program within my company specifically for single mothers. I understand firsthand the difficulty of balancing parenting and financial responsibilities. I’ve also established resources for married couples, recognizing that finances are often a major source of stress in relationships. My goal here is to help couples overcome credit barriers and navigate financial challenges together, preventing the strain that finances can place on relationships.

Whether I’m assisting a single mom, a married couple, or an individual looking to repair their credit, each program is crafted to support and uplift. Helping others achieve financial stability and independence isn’t just my job—it’s my passion.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back on my journey, three qualities that have been most impactful are relationship-building, creating opportunities for growth, and empathy. Each of these has played a critical role in building a business rooted in trust, purpose, and positive impact.

1. Building Relationships:
One of the greatest assets I’ve cultivated is the ability to build authentic relationships. Whether it’s clients, business partners, or industry peers, relationships are the foundation of any lasting success. In the beginning, I realized that people don’t just invest in services—they invest in trust. I committed to being transparent, honest, and always keeping my clients’ best interests at heart. My advice to someone starting out? Prioritize meaningful connections. Make the time to understand the needs and challenges of others, and communicate openly. Relationship-building is a two-way street, and a solid reputation will go a long way in both personal and professional growth.

2. Creating Opportunities for Growth:
As I progressed, I realized that creating opportunities for my clients and team to grow was as essential as my own growth. In the credit repair and financial education field, this often meant providing resources, hosting workshops, or sharing insights that could help clients maintain their financial health even after our work together. For anyone starting out, focus on fostering growth not only in your business but also in the people you serve. Set short-term and long-term goals for your business and make sure they’re flexible enough to adjust to changes. Surround yourself with people who challenge and inspire you, and remember that opportunities for growth are often hidden in challenges.

3. Empathy:
Empathy has been one of the most impactful qualities in my work. Credit issues and financial challenges are deeply personal, and people often feel vulnerable discussing them. By showing genuine compassion, I’m able to connect with clients on a level that goes beyond numbers and credit scores. For anyone new in this field, remember that empathy is a skill you can nurture. Take the time to listen without judgment, put yourself in your clients’ shoes, and be sensitive to the challenges they may be facing. Empathy helps build trust and loyalty—two invaluable qualities for any business.

Advice for New Entrepreneurs:

Map Out a Plan: Having a solid business plan with clear goals will give you direction and purpose. Identify your objectives, break them down into achievable steps, and regularly review and adjust your goals as you progress.
Delegate and Accept Help: Trying to do everything yourself is a common trap for entrepreneurs. Delegating tasks to people you trust, especially those skilled in areas you’re not, can free up your time to focus on what you do best. Allowing others to contribute not only lightens your load but also enriches your business.

Prepare for Difficult Clients: In any client-based business, handling difficult clients is inevitable. Equip yourself with strategies for handling tough situations calmly and professionally. Develop clear communication skills, set realistic boundaries, and maintain patience. Taking every challenge as an opportunity to learn will help you grow resilience.

By focusing on relationship-building, growth, and empathy, and by mapping out your goals, accepting help, and preparing for challenges, you can set a strong foundation for a successful journey ahead. These qualities, habits, and skills will carry you through the ups and downs of building a fulfilling and impactful business.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

My husband, who was always my test client, has been a remarkable partner in my journey, especially in overcoming challenges and refining the skills I need to succeed. Whenever I face a new hurdle or consider an idea, he’s right there, ready to lend his perspective and insights. We often sit down together, mapping out solutions and carefully evaluating each possibility. His support has been invaluable, not just for the practical advice, but for the encouragement and stability he provides.

Having someone who listens, understands, and genuinely wants to see you thrive makes a world of difference. He’s helped me develop my ability to think critically, approach problems from different angles, and see opportunities within challenges. His perspective often sheds light on things I might miss, and his encouragement has boosted my confidence to take on even the toughest obstacles.
