We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Krissy G. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Krissy below.
Krissy, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
I keep my creative juices flowing at all times . A lot of my inspiration comes from others who I look up to in the industry . Im always learning therefore im always working on the next thing . My work represents me so im always wanting to stay creative and growing .
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
As an event planner I am always planning something for someone 🙂 . It has grown in ways I couldn’t of even imagined at the time I took the risk to start this business . I have been event planning going on two years and nothing makes me happier . My daughter inspired me to begin and now everyday she motivates me to keep going. Cause like anything else in this world it can be tough. I am growing my business more with opening an Etsy shop (coming soon) that will provide grab & go kits for all events & etc. I plan to expand krissycreationsss in two more states California & Las Vegas . Thats what’s next for me
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The qualities that have helped me along the way were being Coachable , Having patience, Being eager to grow. Learning from my peers have been the most helpful with my career in the event industry . The best advice I can give is to never compare your work to others . I struggled with that at first and all it did was get me down in my early stages . Luckily , I kept going and stopped looking at others and focused more on myself
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
The most helpful thing was to raise me to be independent and to take risks. The reason I started this business is because I wasn’t afraid to take a risk . Thats the best gift . Cause im not afraid to go big with everything I do .
