Meet Synamon Whaley

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Synamon Whaley. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Synamon below.

Synamon , we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?

Having experienced privation in my formative years, I developed a propensity for helping those in need. My charitable endeavors are driven by compassion and divine guidance. Moreover, as a Cosmetic Scientist, I undertake exhaustive product testing, offering free samples to refine formulations. Our company has earned The Leaping Bunny Program’s cruelty-free certification, ensuring our non-toxic, plant-based products are rigorously tested on ourselves, family, friends, and volunteers to guarantee safety and pH balance prior.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Canela’s Homemade Hair Care is transitioning to a nonprofit organization. We develop and produce our natural hair care products in our in-house laboratory located in our back yard. Our latest collection is an extension of our popular Rapid Hair Growth Formula, a natural oil blend stimulating hair follicles. This collection is non-toxic, plant-based, cruelty-free, vegan, and natural, effectively addressing hair loss due to various conditions. Customer feedback and results validate its success. We’re partnering with The Leaping Bunny Program for a holiday season 20%OFF Discount as well as an GIVEAWAY… we’re also working on expanding our product range on Walmart.com. Our mobile app is nearing release, and we’ve successfully participated in the Rainbow Blossom seasonal farmers market. We now offer hair testing services via mail or on-site consultation (with a delivery fee). Be on the lookout for New product COMING SOON!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I’m dedicated to further invest and achieve certification, to ensure I fully understand the measures I’m implementing to safeguard my customers and myself. Their safety and health are crucial to me. The connection between the hair and scalp and the bloodstream and brain highlights the importance of using clean and safe products, which is my primary focus. That’s why me going back to college to further my education in becoming a certified hair loss specialist was a no brainer. This way I can fully provide the services my customers need 100%. Conducting research, experimentation, testing, and other scientific activities is vital to being a diligent practitioner. Having a comprehensive understanding of my practices will ultimately benefit my target audience.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?

Typically, I handle all aspects of Canela’s Homemade Hair Care independently to ensure quality control. However, my family has been supportive and willing to assist when requested. Nevertheless, developing this new app has been a solo and challenging endeavor, requiring significant financial investment. Despite my computer expertise, I found the process draining and had to take a break. Surprisingly, I discovered that app development companies like Apple, Google, and Android do not offer direct support, leaving me to figure everything out independently. I am nearing completion and will announce the launch date soon.
