Meet Deniz Sehovic

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Deniz Sehovic a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Deniz, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

Developing my confidence and self-esteem has been a journey, and it’s something I share a lot about on Instagram because it’s such a universal experience. For me, it began with recognizing my limiting beliefs, especially around money and success, and understanding how they were holding me back. I started focusing on mindset work—really questioning the stories I was telling myself and whether they were even true.

A huge part of building confidence has been learning to take small, consistent steps, because I’ve realized that confidence comes from action, not just thought. Each small step—whether setting a boundary, showing up authentically, or trusting my intuition—has helped me create momentum. I learned that I could rely on myself, and that consistency became the foundation of my self-belief.

But I’ve also had to learn compassion for those moments when I don’t meet my own standards. We all let ourselves down sometimes, and I’ve come to see those moments as opportunities for growth rather than setbacks. I practice forgiving myself and refocusing on my goals.

Along the way, I’ve created routines that combine manifestation and practical action, and surrounded myself with mentors and supportive communities. Seeing tangible results, like signing high-paying clients and helping others reach new heights, has been powerful fuel for my self-esteem. It’s been about doing the inner work, taking aligned action, and having compassion for myself on this journey to becoming my most empowered self.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Thank you so much for having me! I’m the founder of GirlsGuide.Co, a platform dedicated to empowering women in both personal and professional growth, with a focus on money and manifestation. I work as a business coach, helping purpose-driven women build lives and businesses that are not only financially successful but also deeply aligned with who they are and what they envision. With over a decade of experience in marketing, I know firsthand how transformative it is when women connect their passion to financial success, and that’s exactly what I help my clients do.

What I love most about my work is that it combines mindset and manifestation with actionable business strategy. GirlsGuide.Co is all about creating tangible success while helping clients build a strong foundation of self-belief and abundance. I get to watch clients break through limits—signing their highest-paying clients, expanding their businesses, or finding peace in their financial journeys. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness the transformation that happens when women step into their full potential.

A big part of my focus is on 1:1 coaching, where I work closely with clients to address their specific goals, obstacles, and aspirations. These sessions allow us to dive deep, identifying both mindset shifts and practical strategies that support their vision. Every session is about creating actionable steps that bring them closer to their goals, whether that’s scaling their business, mastering their sales process, or setting aligned pricing.

Currently, we’re also running our ‘Managing & Manifesting Your Money’ workshops, which provide a supportive, community-based environment where women learn tools to take control of their finances and achieve their business goals. These workshops are designed for women who want to align their financial lives with their purpose. Alongside these, we have a new coaching program for women entrepreneurs across industries, with group sessions tailored to different business sectors, helping women grow wealth and confidence.

Ultimately, GirlsGuide.Co is about creating a space where women can find clarity, community, and confidence in their journey to financial freedom. I’m thrilled to see this vision expand and am excited for what’s next!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities have been especially impactful in my journey: clarity of vision, aligned action, and strong mentor support and guidance. Each has shaped my approach to both business and life, and I encourage everyone to focus on developing these qualities.

Clarity of Vision – Knowing what you want, down to the specifics, is incredibly powerful. Early on, I found that the clearer I was about my goals and values, the easier it became to make aligned decisions. Regularly check in with yourself, asking what success truly means to you, and define a vision that genuinely excites you. When you’re clear on your destination, each step forward feels purposeful.

Aligned Action – Building a life and business that align with your vision requires taking consistent, purposeful action. It’s not enough to have a vision; you need to actively pursue it. For those just starting, focus on breaking down your goals into actionable steps and hold yourself accountable. Every small action you take builds momentum and moves you closer to your vision.

Mentor Support and Guidance – Having mentors who provide support and share their experience has been invaluable. Their guidance helped me avoid common pitfalls and refine my approach, saving time and energy along the way. For anyone early in their journey, seek out mentors who are willing to offer their insights and help you navigate challenges. Their support will keep you focused, motivated, and more confident in your path.

These qualities—clarity, aligned action, and the support of experienced mentors—have been foundational in my work with GirlsGuide.Co and in my own journey. I believe that if you focus on these, you’ll set yourself up for a fulfilling and empowered path, no matter where it leads.
