Meet Lwoki Loki

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lwoki Loki. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Lwoki, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

One moment that truly stands out in the development of my confidence and self-esteem happened early in my career when I was working as a wardrobe stylist. I had the opportunity to assist on a high-profile project with a major brand. It was an exciting opportunity, but also incredibly nerve-wracking. I was surrounded by established professionals with years of experience, and I felt the weight of not only performing well but also standing out in a crowd of experts.

In those first few days, I felt somewhat out of place, second-guessing my decisions and fearing that I might not meet the team’s high standards. However, I decided to focus on what I could control: my preparation, my attention to detail, and my willingness to listen and learn from others. Each day, I made a conscious effort to push past my fears and get involved, contributing my ideas, supporting the team, and embracing each challenge as a chance to grow.

What I found was that, as I immersed myself in the work, I started to feel a genuine confidence in my skills and abilities. I realized that confidence didn’t mean knowing everything or never feeling uncertain. Instead, it was about trusting in my own potential to adapt, learn, and contribute value. The experience taught me to believe in myself even in high-pressure situations, and since then, I’ve carried that lesson forward in my career, knowing that I have the resilience and capability to take on any challenge.

Looking back, that experience was transformative for me. It taught me that confidence isn’t about being perfect but about showing up, staying committed, and trusting in my journey.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

As a wardrobe stylist and image consultant, my work centers on helping people not only look their best but feel their best, too. What excites me most is the transformative power of personal style—it goes beyond just clothes. When people see themselves in a new light, it can boost their confidence and impact every part of their lives, from career opportunities to social interactions.

My approach is rooted in authenticity and empowerment. I work closely with clients to understand their lifestyle, personality, and aspirations, which allows me to create a wardrobe that reflects who they are and where they want to go. It’s incredibly rewarding to see someone light up when they find their style “voice”—that look or ensemble that just feels right.

Right now, I’m working on expanding my brand to include style workshops and masterclasses for those who want to take a more hands-on approach to curating their own looks. I’m also looking at potential collaborations with fashion retailers, including one with ASOS, to create styling guides and resources for their customers. Beyond individual clients, I’m excited to work with brands on special events and campaigns, such as styling for New York Fashion Week and collaborating with Givenchy and Tiffany & Co. These projects allow me to bring my vision to a larger audience, adding my own creative perspective to some of the industry’s biggest names.

Ultimately, my focus is on growth and staying ahead in the fashion world while keeping the heart of my work—helping people express their unique selves—at the center.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three qualities that have had the biggest impact on my journey are resilience, adaptability, and a genuine love for learning. In fashion, where long hours, tight deadlines, and high expectations are the norm, resilience has been essential. I’ve faced moments where things didn’t go as planned—whether it was an outfit that wouldn’t come together or a last-minute change in creative direction. Each challenge taught me that setbacks are temporary, and every experience, whether successful or not, adds to my growth. Embracing every challenge has reminded me that resilience isn’t about never failing; it’s about bouncing back and learning from each experience.

Adaptability has also been key in helping me stay relevant in an ever-changing industry. Styles and trends shift quickly, and each client brings a unique perspective and need to the table. Being flexible and open to new ideas has allowed me to meet diverse needs, especially when collaborating with major brands like Givenchy or Tiffany & Co. Staying curious and learning from each opportunity—whether it’s working with a variety of clients, attending fashion shows, or researching new trends—has helped me thrive in a field that never stands still.

Above all, my love for learning has kept me engaged and motivated, enabling me to bring fresh insights and perspectives to my work. Styling isn’t just about knowing clothes; it’s about understanding fabrics, colors, body types, and even psychology. Each new skill or piece of knowledge builds my confidence and broadens my creative vision. Resilience keeps me going, adaptability allows me to grow, and a passion for learning gives me the edge to keep standing out.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

The person who has been most helpful in helping me overcome challenges and develop the skills I needed to succeed is my girlfriend, Sadan. She has been my biggest supporter and an incredible source of strength. Sadan has an amazing way of seeing potential where I might see obstacles, encouraging me to push through when things get tough.

When I face doubts or setbacks, she’s always there with perspective and reassurance, reminding me of my goals and abilities. Her belief in me has made all the difference, especially during times when I was unsure of myself or navigating big decisions. Sadan’s encouragement has fueled my resilience and adaptability, while her insights have helped me keep my passion for learning alive. Having her by my side has given me the confidence to take risks, trust in my journey, and constantly strive to grow.
