We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lisa Garcia. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lisa below.
Hi Lisa, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
My work ethic is deeply rooted in examples set by my parents. From a young age, I was observant of their sacrifices and dedication to our family. They taught me the art of mastering persistence and resilience to fulfill my ambitions. Without a doubt, they influenced my drive to succeed and are responsible for my optimism and ability not to dwell on setbacks.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I started in healthcare when I was twenty years old and worked in traditional healthcare roles for 8 years as a licensed vocational nurse (LVN). After graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, I knew it was time to pursue a career that fulfilled me and allowed me to serve patients. I have been an aesthetic nurse provider for 3 years now, and it is the best decision I have made professionally, but most importantly personally. I’m living my professional dream in Beverly Hills at Atelier Aesthetix, working alongside a powerhouse team. I view aesthetic medicine as a dynamic, evolving practice—one that combines artistry with medical expertise and results-driven care. In addition to my expertise in traditional aesthetic treatments, I love integrating principles of regenerative medicine and beauty biohacking into my practice. By harnessing the body’s natural ability to heal and rejuvenate, I offer treatments that promote skin regeneration, reduce signs of aging, and optimize skin health. My goal is to rejuvenate at a cellular level, giving patients the tools to age gracefully while boosting their self-confidence.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My journey is ongoing, and it has been a test of resilience. Aesthetic medicine requires humility and acceptance that being a student will be ongoing since this industry continues to evolve. Being confident in the skills that I have mastered has been crucial in establishing long-lasting relationships with patients, aesthetic treatments involve a high degree of personal vulnerability, so demonstrating empathy and offering clear, honest guidance ensures that patients feel comfortable and informed. This era of my career has taught me to have gratitude. I am fortunate to pursue my passion, and it is a true luxury.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
When I started aesthetic medicine, I felt that I spent too much energy convincing people why they needed to see me for procedures. I had to shift my focus and align with patients who shared my views and could appreciate how I practice aesthetic medicine. I found that if I shared what was important to me, I would also attract patients who were not just seeking to enhance their appearance but were seeking a science-driven approach to beauty that provides more than just immediate results. I knew that talking to patients about what was important to me in this industry would foster long-lasting, sustainable changes and a deeper understanding of how to maintain their natural beauty well into the future.
