Meet Michel Sabillon

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Michel Sabillon. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Michel, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Imposter syndrome is an entrepreneur’s worst enemy. The feeling that invades your mind that you don’t deserve where you’ve gotten to with so much effort, or that you’re not good enough, it’s heartbreaking to have your own mind be your enemy. But it’s nothing that can’t be overcome; your support group has a lot of influence in every moment where you doubt yourself, but above all you must create confidence and security in yourself and have faith in your venture, above all, give that 110% every day.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

One of the most exciting things about doing markets is the communication you can have with your customers. Every person who comes to you and is curious about your business and in the end you end up connecting and empathizing with them, is the best part.
Connect and show your love for what you do, above all show a lot of passion for what you do so that other people connect with your product and all the benefits of it.

Currently, months like November and December bring us a demand from months ago, where all the launches that we will have for the Christmas season are prepared. Our Christmas collection has just become available on our website and at all our events, in addition, you can find it in our physical store located in Painted Tree Westchase, TX.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

First of all, leave fear behind, because every business must be started with prudence but not with fear. Many times we think that we will not succeed because we are shy, large investments, etc. But along the way you learn to have courage and overcome each challenge. Second, do not be ashamed to say: I do not know. Why? EVERYTHING can be learned, if you have doubts in your process, look for answers, if you have to take marketing courses, do it! If you feel that your production process needs something more to perfect it, look for mentors. Never stay with doubts about anything, always look for those answers that will make you learn and grow.
And last but not least, I think the most important, your support group is vital, a good support group can make the difference between failure and success. Surround yourself with people who contribute and not take away, who can provide wise advice and honest support in difficult times.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?

My mother has always been a very strong woman who raised her three children alone. She made many sacrifices for us and to this day I don’t know how I can repay her for so much love. I remember once seeing her cry because of financial problems and the next day getting up because she had an event and had to give her best (she had a catering company). She never gave up and always put us first in her life. Her best lesson for me is to never give up and wherever life takes me, to always give my all in everything I do. If I fall, it doesn’t matter, I’ll clean myself up and get back up.
My father was a very hard-working man, a lover of cows, horses and everything related to the countryside. The best legacy he left me was to give everything for my loved ones, because they are worth everything. But he also taught me to be strong, although sometimes I am like cotton, super soft, but when I have to, I am strong.
