Nora, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

As a woman in the beauty industry, developing confidence and self-esteem has been a journey. Stepping into this field challenged me to embrace my strengths, acknowledge my growth areas, and value myself beyond surface-level beauty. I’ve learned that confidence is built through persistence, self-awareness, and celebrating small victories. I’m proud to be a work in progress, constantly evolving, and I honor that by showing up authentically every day for my clients and myself.

Glow by Nora Flo is a young but thriving beauty business built on the foundation of empowerment, self-care, and respect for individuality. My ultimate goal is for every person who steps into my space or entrusts me with their beauty needs to leave feeling better, more confident, and truly seen. Beauty, to me, is far from vanity—it’s an act of nurturing yourself, honoring who you are, and taking the time to invest in your well-being. I firmly believe that when you look good, you feel good, and that feeling radiates into every aspect of your life.

To ensure I deliver the best for my clients, I am committed to continuously growing in my craft by taking courses and staying current with the latest services and products. Quality and care are at the heart of everything I do, and I’m proud to bring that to every client I serve.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

My advice for anyone entering the beauty industry is simple: trust in your creativity. If your heart is in it, the results will follow. Let your passion guide you, but also invest in refining your skills—this commitment to growth will take you further than you can imagine.

One of my biggest struggles was fully believing in myself as an artist. Coming from a career as a teacher, making the leap into beauty felt daunting and uncertain. Yet deep down, I knew it was the right path for me. Leaving that comfort zone and committing to this industry was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Now, owning my own beauty suite and working with clients across all the services I offer, I realize how much I’ve grown—not just as a beauty professional, but as a person. I often think, “Why didn’t I do this sooner?” So my message to anyone with the same dream is this: don’t wait. Go all in, and most importantly, believe in yourself.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I’ve come to realize that collaboration is one of the most powerful tools for growth, which is why I’m always looking for partners to work with. Fellow entrepreneurs truly understand the vision, drive, and dedication it takes to build something meaningful. When we come together, we not only amplify each other’s reach and success but also elevate the experience for the clients who believe in and invest in our services.

For me, it’s all about providing quality and continuously giving more to the people who trust me with their beauty needs. Collaboration allows us to bring fresh ideas, broaden what we can offer, and create even greater value.
