We recently connected with Autumn Denae and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Autumn, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
Despite what our society wants us to believe, what I know to be true, is that imposter syndrome is an inside job.
There’s no amount of certifications, degrees, or checks on your imaginary list of qualifications that will make you feel as qualified as deciding to own your expertise and qualify your damn self.
When I first entered the coaching space and the entrepreneurial world, I was SO afraid to own my expertise, and even call myself a “coach” or “mentor,” because I didn’t fully believe in myself or in what I was promising people I could help them do.
And that was the real kicker—that self-belief part—because in real-life experience and on paper, I was fully qualified to claim the title I’d given myself, and knew that I could help people achieve results.
But on the inside, I was constantly searching for something or someone to make me feel more qualified, and honestly, worthy of charging money for my services.
One day, I was listening to a podcast episode about imposter syndrome (unfortunately, I can’t remember which one), and I heard the quote: “God doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies the called.”
And that’s when it all clicked.
It’s not the certifications, degrees, or the number of people validating me that will make me qualified.
I am qualified because I am called.
I am qualified because God, Source, the Universe has made me so through all the education, real-life experiences, and wisdom that I’ve accumulated over the years.
I am qualified because I know just enough and have just the right skills to help the people I am meant to serve.
For me, overcoming imposter syndrome has been a journey of rewiring my beliefs around what “qualified” really means, building self-confidence and self-worth, and creating proof within myself that I am, in fact, excellent at what I do—and really owning that.
So, to those who are struggling with imposter syndrome, I want you to hear me when I say that you don’t need more.
You don’t need more certifications, more followers, more money—whatever it is that you feel you’re lacking that makes you less qualified. It’s all in your head.
You are qualified because you were called. Trust in what you’ve been called to do, and work on your mindset so you can stop letting fear and doubt hold you back, and allow the people who need you to find you.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am honestly still figuring out what I want my current title to be haha. It’s really hard to put what I do into a few words, but the current iteration of my title is that I am a marketing consultant and energetics coach who specializes in attraction marketing, social media content, and personal branding.
I’m a former influencer who has gone through so many pivots on the way to where I am now, and since I burnt myself out- and burnt my business to the ground once- along the way, I am very passionate about blending the practical strategies of attraction marketing, soul aligned sales, and iconic personal branding, with mindset development, manifestation principles, and somatic self care in my programs so that my clients can manifest their dream lives and businesses without succumbing to hustle culture or burning themselves out.
I am also the host of the Edge of Everything Podcast, where I love to host conversations with inspiring creators and entrepreneurs that teach people how to become their best selves and create lives of freedom, abundance, and purpose.
I think the most special thing about what I do is getting to be a part of a bigger ripple effect.
Growing up, I used to have these visions of changing the world, and I still do, but the more I’ve grown into this work, the more I’ve realized that, it’s less about changing the entire world at once, and more about changing ONE person’s world at a time.
So when I get to work with clients and help amazing, mission driven creators and entrepreneurs bring their visions to life, spread their message and light, change other people’s lives for the better, I feel like I’m a part of a big ripple effect that will inevitably help change the world.
That’s what makes me the most excited about this work, and why it’s SO much deeper than just helping people go viral, or gain a bunch of followers, or make a bunch of money. We’ve been given such powerful tools in the form of social media platforms, and when more people are empowered with the knowledge and skills to use them correctly as creators; and we’re able to spread more positivity, hope, and empowerment to people’s feeds, I think the world will become a much better place.
And I’m so grateful and honored to be a part of it.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I love this question! So, for me, these are the top three qualities and skills that I think have been the most impactful in getting to where I am now:
1. Subconscious & Nervous System Reprogramming: I truly believe that success-in anything- is 80% mindset and energetics. Most people focus on the strategic elements of achieving their goals, but no amount of strategy or action will help you if your mindset (i.e. your subconscious beliefs, self talk, identity, etc) isn’t in alignment with you want to achieve, and if your nervous system doesn’t feel safe striving for, and/or achieving what you want. So making subconscious reprogramming and nervous system regulation my top priorities have been the most impactful for me, especially as someone who has experienced burnout.
2. Failing & Forgiving Faster: Mistakes and failure are just a part of the journey of life, so I think that accepting that, and learning how to “fail faster” and forgive yourself when you make mistakes or mess something up is an essential part of being successful and achieving your goals.
3. Personal Branding: I always say “people don’t buy what you do, they buy who you are” because your brand is what sets you apart from everyone else in your industry, and opens up doors to opportunities that you could never have imagined. As a former influencer, intentionally creating my brand has always been a priority for me, and it’s been one of the most impactful things in getting to where I am now. So, I think that more business owners and creatives need to learn the skill of branding and learn how to be their own PR person.
So my advice for people who are early in their journeys are to:
1. Master your mindset and “regulate as you elevate,” as I like to tell my clients
2. Learn the lesson the FIRST time the universe tries to teach you (“when you know better, do better”)
3. Focus on what you want to be known for (your brand), not just what you do (your niche). Really zoom out and think about what you want people to think of first when they hear your name 10,20,50 years from now, and make sure that you are sprinkling your magic across multiple platforms, in multiple ways.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
It’s incredibly hard to narrow down all the things my mom has done for me, but if I had to summarize, I’d say the most impactful thing she ever did was choose to be my mom.
I’m adopted, so my mom truly chose me and the role she plays in my life. Every single day, I’m more grateful than words can express that she chose to love and care for me, and that she supports me in everything I do. I could write endlessly about her impact on my life and everything she’s done, but to keep it simple: my mom is my best friend, my greatest mentor, my biggest fan, and the person I love most in the world. I wouldn’t be who I am or where I am today without her.
