Meet Fatimah Hanif

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Fatimah Hanif. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Fatimah, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

I built my confidence and self-esteem through self-love and gratitude. I learned to appreciate myself and be thankful for who I am because there’s no one else in the world like me. I started loving myself the way I wanted others to love me, and that changed everything. Using vibrational wellness practices like affirmations, journaling, sound healing, and mindfulness helped me connect with myself on a deeper level. Once I began truly loving myself, my confidence naturally started to grow—it became a part of me.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m Fatimah Hanif, just a girl from Oakland, California walking in her purpose in life. As a Vibrational Wellness Specialist and author, I am passionate about helping individuals and communities heal, grow, and thrive. Vibrational wellness is about aligning your energy and emotions through tools like sound healing, mindfulness, reiki, and journaling. Everything around us carries energy, including our thoughts and actions. When our vibrations are low—due to stress, trauma, or negativity—it can affect how we feel and show up in the world. I help people raise their vibrations by using techniques that calm the mind, balance the body, and uplift the spirit, so they can feel more at peace and empowered.

Through my company, I Maintain, I offer holistic services designed to help people reconnect with their inner strength and heal from within. What excites me most about my work is watching people—especially children—realize their potential and learn tools to navigate life with confidence and clarity. I focus on helping children build these skills early, so they can avoid carrying unresolved pain into adulthood.

Right now, I’m expanding my brand in exciting ways. By January, I’ll be launching a few projects that I working on now; a subscription-based platform offering sound baths, meditations, workshops, journaling prompts, and educational resources to make vibrational wellness accessible to more people. Additionally, I’m working with Brown University on a project, we just got approved for a grant from Unlikely Collaborators to bring sound healing to some amazing youths in Connecticut. As well as working with Dr. Terence Elliot & Watch Me Grow Inc on some workshops to get more tools out to the community.

Whether through live workshops, community events, or digital resources, my goal is to provide people with tools to heal, grow, and step into their highest selves. If you’re looking for peace, empowerment, or practical ways to feel more aligned, I Maintain is here to help you transform, triumph, and thrive.

My goal is to help improve the world by guiding individuals to improve themselves. When people heal, grow, and embrace their true potential, they naturally create a ripple effect that uplifts their families, communities, and beyond. By providing tools for self-love, mindfulness, and vibrational wellness, I empower people to align with their highest selves, transforming not only their own lives but also contributing to a more compassionate, balanced, and thriving world. Change begins within, and together, we can create a brighter, more harmonious future.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities have been the most impactful in my journey: resilience, authenticity, and a willingness to learn and evolve. These traits have shaped not only my approach to vibrational wellness but also my personal growth and ability to serve others effectively.

Resilience taught me to keep going, even when faced with challenges that felt overwhelming. This quality came from years of inner work, shadow work, and therapy. For anyone starting their journey, I encourage you to embrace the discomfort that comes with growth. Build your resilience by addressing your fears, taking small but consistent steps toward your goals, and giving yourself grace in the process.

Authenticity allowed me to connect deeply with people. Being true to myself and transparent about my own struggles and healing journey made my work more relatable and impactful. My advice? Be real. Share your story because it will resonate with those who need it. Authenticity isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being honest and human.

Lastly, a willingness to learn and evolve was essential for my growth as a practitioner and individual. I stayed curious, sought out knowledge, and remained open to new methods, tools, and perspectives. For those just starting, immerse yourself in learning. Read, take courses, find mentors, and don’t be afraid to unlearn what no longer serves you. Growth is a lifelong process, and the more adaptable you are, the more opportunities you’ll find.

If you focus on building resilience, staying authentic, and committing to lifelong learning, your journey will unfold in ways you never imagined. Trust the process, and remember: every step, even the hard ones, brings you closer to your purpose.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

One book that has played an incredibly important role in my development is my own work, I’m Tired of Being Toxic: Self Journey and Transformation. Writing this book was not just a creative endeavor—it was a deeply personal and healing process that allowed me to confront my own toxic patterns, understand their roots, and begin the transformative journey toward vibrational wellness. It became a mirror reflecting my inner struggles and triumphs, and now, it serves as a guide for others embarking on their own self-healing paths.

One of the most valuable nuggets of wisdom from the book is that healing begins with acknowledgment. You cannot transform what you refuse to face. For me, this meant diving into shadow work, uncovering limiting beliefs, and taking accountability for the patterns I perpetuated. This honesty wasn’t easy, but it was necessary—and it’s a cornerstone of the book’s message.

Another impactful insight is the power of vibrational wellness tools, like sound healing, mindfulness, and affirmations, in breaking cycles of negativity. These practices have not only helped me but have also become vital tools I share with clients and communities. They teach us how to reclaim our energy and shift from surviving to thriving.

The book also emphasizes that transformation is a journey, not a one-time event. I often revisit its lessons to check in with myself and ensure I’m staying aligned. Readers have shared that the book continues to help them in similar ways—offering guidance, hope, and practical steps for their own self-journeys.

Through I’m Tired of Being Toxic, I’ve learned that healing isn’t just about fixing yourself—it’s about evolving into the best version of who you were always meant to be. It continues to inspire me and others to do the work, trust the process, and transform our lives for the better.
