We recently connected with Joshua Jimenez and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Joshua, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I draw my resilience from the example set by my mother. Growing up, I watched her raise five kids on her own most of the time, facing adversity and fear with remarkable strength and grace. No matter how tough things got, she would rise each day with a smile and tackle life as if it were just another Tuesday.
In addition, my own challenging life experiences have shaped my perspective. They’ve taught me that the most valuable things in life are the relationships we build and our ability to transform struggles into growth. Instead of letting negativity hold me back, I’ve learned to let it forge me into a stronger, more determined person.
Now, as I navigate the working world, I feel incredibly grateful for the foundation my upbringing has given me. It’s prepared me to face whatever life throws my way with courage and resilience.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a full-time commercial real estate agent working in the thriving Miami market, one of the hottest submarkets in the country. I specialize in brokering deals across sales, leasing, and purchasing of commercial properties, helping clients navigate this dynamic and competitive landscape.
What excites me most about my work is the opportunity to connect with incredible people who leave a lasting impact on my life. Every client interaction brings a chance to learn, grow, and build meaningful relationships. Additionally, the financial opportunities in this field are life-changing, allowing me to achieve both personal and professional milestones.
Miami’s ever-evolving market keeps me motivated and sharp, and I’m committed to delivering exceptional service while being a part of this exciting growth story.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, the three qualities that have had the greatest impact on my journey are resilience, optimism, and empathy.
Resilience has been crucial in overcoming challenges and pushing forward, even when the path wasn’t clear. It’s about staying grounded and persevering, no matter what life throws your way.
Optimism has allowed me to see opportunities where others might see obstacles. Believing that everything—no matter how difficult—is ultimately working in your favor has been a guiding force in my life.
Empathy has been key to building meaningful connections. Listening to understand, rather than to respond, fosters trust and deepens relationships, whether in personal or professional settings.
For those early in their journey, my advice is to trust your instincts and believe in your ability to navigate through uncertainty. Cultivate a mindset of faith, in yourself, in God, and that things will align for the better. Work on truly listening to others, not just to reply but to understand. These qualities will not only help you grow but also create lasting impact in your relationships and entrepreneur endeavors.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
The 4 Agreements.
– Dont take anything personal, if not it means you agree
– If you Suffer you choose to suffer
– If you love yourself you will project that
– If you have one week to live what would you do? your answer is you being yourself
