We recently connected with Andie Wren and have shared our conversation below.
Andie, sincerely appreciate your selflessness in agreeing to discuss your mental health journey and how you overcame and persisted despite the challenges. Please share with our readers how you overcame. For readers, please note this is not medical advice, we are not doctors, you should always consult professionals for advice and that this is merely one person sharing their story and experience.
I have to admit, as cliche as it might sound, starting therapy and choosing sobriety have been pivotal for me in facing my mental health challenges. These choices kicked off a journey of transformation that I’m still navigating every day. I’m actively building the skills I need to stay on this path and tackle the obstacles that come my way. While I’m not shackled by the old habits and coping mechanisms I relied on in my not-so-distant past, it remains a work in progress.
When I started therapy, it felt like the first meaningful step I had taken for myself in ages. I’m constantly discovering new things about myself, and I know that if I hadn’t made the choice to seek support and show up for myself consistently, I wouldn’t have been able to witness the growth that is emerging. My therapist has been a steady ally, providing encouragement and constructive guidance. They remind me that I’m not broken and that embracing my true self is crucial to this journey. It’s empowering to realize that my own effort drives this change, impacting not just my life but also those I connect through my readings. Sometimes, I struggle to recognize my progress, but I’m learning to appreciate that even slow growth is valuable and will continue to shape my future.
A few months into therapy, I made the decision to embrace sobriety, which became another defining moment for me. Sobriety has brought newfound clarity and the chance to accept myself fully. Back in 2020, I relied on substances to escape from reality, hiding from my vulnerabilities. I thought I was searching for meaning, but the truth is, I needed to confront what I was running from: the fear of not being good enough or deserving of the good things in life. It became painfully clear how my mental and physical health—and my relationships—were suffering because of it.
As I committed to my recovery, I discovered new ways to reconnect with myself. I started revisiting activities I once loved, like painting and listening to music, and found joy in spending time expressing myself with people who empower me. My mission became clear: to embody the person I needed when I was younger. Through self-compassion, I began to release the pain and grief I had held onto for far too long.
Every experience along this path has built my resilience and sense of acceptance—qualities that continue to define who I am. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without these challenges. By turning my struggles into strengths, I’m working to create a foundation for a more authentic and purposeful life, one day at a time.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
As a self-taught intuitive tarot and oracle reader, my journey has been incredibly transformative, enriching, and a little confusing. For me, reading the cards is not just a mystical activity; it’s a heartfelt connection to the energies surrounding us and a way to share the wisdom I’ve gained through my experiences. Growing up in a Mormon household and culture has shaped my perspective, guiding me to step away from conventional spiritual and religious terminologies that often feel misleading and triggering. Instead, I focus on the universal energies that the cards represent, allowing me to deliver insights without pressure; my clients can decide what definition resonates with them.
What excites me the most about this work is the opportunity to help others navigate their own struggles and challenges. I approach each reading with empathy and sensitivity, ensuring that my message is gentle and approachable, allowing clients to gain insights without feeling judged or ashamed of their experiences. It’s incredibly rewarding to provide a space and witness someone experiencing clarity and comfort in their journey as they reflect on their personal growth.
I’m also thrilled to share that I host special giveaways every new moon and full moon! This is a fantastic way for me to connect with even more people—either in person (if they live nearby), online via video call, or through a written reading that I can email or DM, complete with a picture of the cards drawn.
In the end, my aim is to provide a safe space for exploration, learning, and connection. I invite everyone to join me on this journey as we navigate the complexities of life together, one card at a time. Thank you for being a part of this magical experience!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
For those who are early in their journey, my advice is to adopt a “do it anyway” mindset and stop waiting for the perfect moment—start taking action, knowing you’ll learn and grow along the way. Understand that your efforts don’t need to be perfect or polished; the act of trying is what truly matters. Invest in yourself, whether through education, self-care, or accessing resources that promote your development. Don’t hesitate to ask for help and seek feedback from others, as this can provide invaluable insights and encouragement. Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth; confronting them fosters resilience. Lastly, remember the importance of rest; maintaining your well-being is crucial for sustaining progress in any endeavor.
Reflecting on my own journey, the three qualities that have had the most significant impact are resilience, a growth mindset, and self-advocacy. By consistently pushing myself and overcoming challenges, I’ve developed the ability to bounce back and adapt to changing circumstances. This resilience enables me to face uncertainty with confidence and remain persistent in the face of adversity, helping me stay focused on my long-term goals.
Integrity has also been vital in building trust with others and remaining true to my values, enhancing my sense of purpose and authenticity in both personal and professional relationships. Engaging in the learning process fosters a growth mindset, encouraging me to view failures as opportunities and embrace continuous learning. This perspective helps me evolve both personally and professionally. I recognize the mistakes I make do not reflect poorly on me or my work; instead, they are valuable learning experiences. Moreover, feeling inadequate compared to others in my industry does not diminish the significance of my contributions.
Investing in myself and seeking help has also cultivated a strong sense of self-advocacy. I have learned to recognize my worth, actively seek resources to support my development, and clearly articulate my needs and shortcomings. This empowerment allows me to take control of my journey and create meaningful opportunities. Reflecting on my behavior has further enabled me to understand my actions, motivations, and areas for improvement, promoting personal accountability and growth.
Understanding trauma has deepened my empathy, allowing me to recognize its profound effects on individuals and cultures, fostering meaningful engagement with their experiences. Exploring my place in the world and acknowledging my privilege has given me a broader perspective on social dynamics, enhancing my awareness and sense of responsibility in creating positive change. Together, these insights have shaped my journey, informing my interactions and guiding my path forward.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
