Meet Kristina Daduryan

We recently connected with Kristina Daduryan and have shared our conversation below.

Kristina, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?

This is an excellent question because, from my perspective, everyone should explore and discover the areas where they are naturally creative. Creativity is such a powerful tool—it shapes our thinking and mindset in ways that can influence every aspect of life. Creativity is not just a hobby but a way to meditate and reset. Often, when I’m stuck on a problem or issue at work, taking time to engage in a creative project in a completely different area clears my mind. By the time I’m done, I’ve often found the solution I was struggling to see.

I truly believe creativity should be part of everyone’s daily routine. It makes life more exciting and transforms simple tasks into enjoyable and fulfilling. Imagine adding a little twist to boring, everyday activities—it turns an ordinary day into something extraordinary. I try to use this mindset with our daughter as well. Together, we make boring breakfasts fun by turning them into little works of art, or we’ll use everyday items to create unique clothes for her Barbie dolls or invent new toys. It’s a way to spark joy and keep life exciting.

I challenge myself to bring this creativity into my work. I’m always striving to make my educational content more engaging, interactive, and enjoyable so it’s easier for people to absorb new skills or transition into a new profession. Whether adding a fresh twist to my teaching methods or finding creative analogies, I see creativity as a bridge that makes learning fun and impactful.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m a software quality assurance engineer with over 15 years of commercial experience. I hold a master’s degree in Software Technologies and a bachelor’s degree in Informatics. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in large corporations and innovative startups, giving me a well-rounded perspective on the industry. My work is my passion—I’ve never felt like I’ve “worked” a single day because I love what I do.

I’m 100% dedicated to my project, The Art of Quality Assurance, which is focused on helping people adapt and thrive in the fast-changing IT sphere. My mission is to support newcomers and aspiring QA professionals as they navigate their way into the industry.

Through The Art of Quality Assurance, I create educational content tailored to teach software testing fundamentals, guide individuals in building their portfolios, and help them professionally update their CVs. I also provide practical advice on gaining hands-on experience as a junior specialist by leveraging freelance platforms.

One of the most exciting aspects of my work is the educational online course I’ve developed. It’s designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of location, so learners worldwide can gain valuable knowledge, practice through real-world exercises, and receive personalized support from me when needed.

What makes this project special is its human-centered approach. It’s not just about teaching technical skills; it’s about empowering people to confidently step into a new career, overcome challenges, and find their place in IT. Whether someone is looking to switch jobs or start fresh, The Art of Quality Assurance provides the tools, guidance, and support they need to succeed.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been consistency, a desire to improve, and adaptability.

Consistency has kept me moving forward, even on challenging days. Showing up and putting in the effort, no matter what, has been my foundation.

My desire to improve has pushed me to seek new opportunities, tackle challenges head-on, and grow beyond my comfort zone. Each step has led to personal and professional success.

I also profoundly resonate with Nietzsche’s idea that “happiness comes from high tension.” The more complex and varied my challenges, the greater my sense of satisfaction when I overcome them. Whether mastering a new skill, creating educational content, or juggling personal and professional roles, the moments of accomplishment feel enormous because I know the effort I’ve poured in.

Finally, adaptability has been crucial in IT’s ever-changing world. Staying open to learning and embracing feedback has helped me navigate obstacles and seize opportunities.

For those starting:
Stay consistent—progress builds momentum.
Be curious and constantly seek ways to improve.
Embrace challenges—they lead to the most rewarding growth.
Believe in your ability to succeed. Persistence, self-improvement, and flexibility will take you far.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Absolutely! I’d love to collaborate with HR professionals in the IT sphere and with individuals or companies in the tech industry. I specialize in creating tailored educational programs based on specific needs, whether onboarding new QA engineers, upskilling teams, or introducing different ways to improve quality assurance processes.

I’m also open to partnering on projects that align with The Art of Quality Assurance—anything that helps inspire, educate, and support aspiring or experienced QA professionals. If you’re interested in collaborating, feel free to connect via LinkedIn or reach out through my website: kristinadaduryan.com. I’d be thrilled to discuss how we can work together!
