Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bird Davis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi BIRD, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience from my mom and life experiences. I’ve been through many hard times but with god on my side i always knew i would be able to get through anything . My kids depend on as me as well so i have to stay locked in and focused for them no matter what life throws at me .

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m a San Diego based photographer from the Bay Area . I’ve been living in San Diego going on 17 years now . My business name is Birdvisionphotography . My actual name is jerik but most people call me Bird which is my nickname that was given to me at a young age by my grandma so i incorporated that into my business name . Lately I’ve been shooting a lot of youth sports which i love . Connecting with the youth has been everything just seeing them happy that i show up to games and them seeing the pictures is an amazing feeling . The parents have been so supporting and I’m thankful for all of them . My next major event i will be shooting will be FOR EPIC FIGHTING which is on November 22,2024 I’ve been wanting to shoot MMA for awhile now and i was presented an opportunity to shoot the event which im very thankful for.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

1. STAYING TRUE TO MYSELF , with so much going on on the internet it’s easily to get influenced by others and discouraged just focusing on my own task at hand and goals has paid off I’m Bird not anyone else . Creating my own lane for myself and nobody else.

2. ASKING QUESTIONS . Im not a prideful person so whenever i had photography questions id always reach out to my photography friends

3. THANKING GOD . No matter how big or small the opportunity is i am always thanking him for them. He has delivered big time towards the end of this year.
