We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lee Sharon. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lee below.
Lee, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I developed my confidence and sense of self by embracing my strengths, acknowledging my progress, and practicing self-compassion. It has been a heartfelt journey, deeply influenced by my experiences and the unwavering support of my family. Coming from a modest background, I often felt the weight of my circumstances, but I was determined to create a brighter future—not just for myself, but especially for my two daughters. As a single parent, I want to be a role model for them, showing them that resilience and courage can light the way through challenges.
The love and encouragement I’ve receive from my family, especially my mom, has been my constant source of strength. They believed in me when I doubted myself, offering unwavering support and encouragement, reminding me that my I’m not defined by my past but by my willingness to grow. Each small victory—whether it was embracing new challenges, or simply making it through a tough day—has been a stepping stone.
Learning to practice self-compassion has been transformative. I’ve come to understand that it’s perfectly okay to stumble; it’s part of the beautiful, messy journey of life. My daughters also inspire me daily. They are my heart and my motivation, and I want them to see that strength and vulnerability can coexist. I hope to teach them that our past doesn’t dictate our future and that we can rise above our circumstances through love and determination.
Reflecting on my path, I feel an overwhelming gratitude for the support I’ve received and the lessons I’ve learned. It reminds me that with love, resilience, and a commitment to growth, we can create a life that inspires not just ourselves, but also the ones we cherish most. I want my daughters to know they can achieve anything, and I’ll always be there to encourage them every step of the way.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m excited to share my story as a Real Estate/Mortgage Professional. As a single mom, I’ve always dreamed of being a business owner—not just for myself, but to show my daughters they have options and can pursue their passions.
With over a decade as a Mortgage Underwriter, I developed a strong understanding of the mortgage process and the importance of finding the right home. Transitioning to a licensed Real Estate Agent and Mortgage Loan Officer has allowed me to combine my expertise with my desire to help others.
I’m dedicated to guiding clients through every step of their home-buying journey—whether it’s finding their dream home, securing a mortgage, or providing mobile Notary and Loan Signing Services. I strive to make the process seamless and stress-free.
I want my daughters to see the value of hard work and determination. My goal is to empower my clients and show them that homeownership is achievable. I believe a home is more than just a place; it’s where memories are made and futures are built. I look forward to helping you achieve your real estate dreams!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back on my journey, three qualities stand out as the most impactful: resilience, empathy, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
1. Resilience: Life as a single mom and a business owner has taught me the importance of bouncing back from setbacks. Challenges are inevitable, but developing resilience helps you navigate those tough times with determination. My advice is to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. When things get tough, remind yourself of your goals and keep pushing forward.
2. Empathy: Understanding the needs and emotions of others has been crucial in my work. Whether I’m helping clients find their homes or guiding them through the mortgage process, empathy allows me to connect on a deeper level. For those starting out, practice active listening and seek to understand others’ perspectives. This will not only strengthen your relationships but also enhance your ability to serve your clients effectively.
3. Commitment to Lifelong Learning: The real estate and mortgage industries are always evolving, so staying informed is essential. I’ve pursued additional training and education to enhance my skills. My advice is to seek out workshops, courses, and mentorship opportunities in your field. Stay curious and open to learning from every experience.
For anyone early in their journey, I encourage you to embrace these qualities. They will serve you well as you navigate your path. Remember, every small step you take contributes to your growth, so celebrate your progress along the way!
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Absolutely! I’m always eager to connect and collaborate with others in the industry. I’m particularly interested in partnering with title companies and escrow officers, as well as fellow real estate professionals, mortgage brokers, and mobile notaries who share a passion for helping people find their homes.
