Meet Shayne Henry

We recently connected with Shayne Henry and have shared our conversation below.

Shayne , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

I believe my resilience comes from a combination of life experiences, a strong sense of purpose, and the people who inspire me daily. Growing up, I learned to navigate challenges by focusing on solutions rather than dwelling on setbacks. Each obstacle taught me how to adapt and find strength in vulnerability.

My work, especially in media and storytelling, constantly reminds me that every challenge has a lesson and every failure has the potential to spark creativity. I also draw resilience from my community—the people I collaborate with and the stories I get to tell. Their determination and trust in me push me to keep going, even when things get tough.

At the core, my resilience stems from an unwavering belief in growth. I remind myself that every difficulty is part of the journey, shaping me into someone stronger, more creative, and more focused on making an impact.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am Shayne Henry, the proud owner of *That One Media Studio*, a full-service media production company based in Savannah, GA. My passion lies in helping businesses, entrepreneurs, and creatives tell their unique stories through powerful visual and digital content. Whether it’s producing captivating videos, curating standout photography, or managing dynamic social media campaigns, my goal is to bring visions to life in ways that inspire and connect with audiences.

What excites me most about my work is the power of storytelling—it’s not just about creating content; it’s about crafting experiences that resonate. I love collaborating with clients to find the essence of their brand and translate that into authentic, impactful media. It’s amazing to see how a well-told story or a beautifully executed campaign can transform a brand’s relationship with its audience.

Right now, I’m focused on the rebrand of *That One Media Studio*. This new chapter is about expanding our services and refining our approach to deliver even more value to our clients. Alongside video and photo production, we’re diving deeper into podcast creation and social media management, making us a one-stop studio for creative storytelling and digital growth.

If there’s one thing I’d like people to know about my brand, it’s that we’re more than a media studio—we’re partners in creativity. Whether you’re a small startup or a large corporation, we’re here to help you stand out, make an impact, and connect with your audience in meaningful ways.

Stay tuned for upcoming projects and collaborations—we have some exciting things on the horizon!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities have been instrumental in my journey: resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to learning.

Resilience: Challenges and setbacks are inevitable, especially when running a business or pursuing a creative path. Resilience has allowed me to stay focused and push forward even when things didn’t go as planned. My advice to anyone starting out is to embrace failure as part of the process. Each setback is an opportunity to learn and grow. Surround yourself with people who inspire and support you, and don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it.

Adaptability: In the fast-paced world of media and business, staying adaptable has been crucial. Trends change, technologies evolve, and clients’ needs shift constantly. Being willing to pivot and embrace change has helped me stay ahead and deliver what’s needed. To develop adaptability, focus on staying curious—explore new tools, learn about emerging trends in your field, and be open to feedback.

Commitment to Learning: Whether it’s improving my technical skills or understanding the nuances of storytelling, I’ve made learning a constant in my journey. This mindset has helped me stay relevant and provide more value to my clients. My advice is to never stop investing in yourself. Take courses, watch tutorials, read books, or seek mentors who can guide you. Growth doesn’t happen by accident—it’s a choice you make daily.

For anyone starting their journey, I’d also add this: Stay true to your vision but be flexible in how you achieve it. Trust the process, celebrate small wins, and never lose sight of why you started in the first place.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Absolutely, I am always looking for opportunities to partner and collaborate with individuals and businesses who are passionate about creativity, storytelling, and making an impact.

I’m particularly interested in working with:

Businesses and entrepreneurs who want to elevate their brand through professional media production, whether that’s video, photography, or social media strategies.
Content creators or artists looking to amplify their work with high-quality visuals or podcasts.
Other creatives and agencies who share a passion for collaboration and innovative storytelling.
If you’re someone who values authentic storytelling and wants to create something meaningful, I’d love to connect. Whether you have a specific project in mind or just want to explore potential ideas, let’s have a conversation and see where our visions align.

You can reach me directly at [email protected] or connect with me on LinkedIn. I’m excited to explore new collaborations and see what we can create together!
