Hi Rashel, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

As the owner of Laugh N Play, my work ethic comes from my passion for creating magical moments for children and their families. This space was born from a dream to give our community a safe, joyful place where kids can simply be kids. Every smile, every laugh, and every celebration fuels my drive to work harder and ensure every experience here is unforgettable. Being a parent myself, I understand how important these moments are, and that’s what keeps me going every single day.

At Laugh N Play, we’re all about creating a one-of-a-kind space where kids can celebrate, explore, and simply be kids. As a private party venue, we specialize in crafting unforgettable experiences, tailoring each event to reflect the joy and personality of every child we celebrate. What sets us apart is our dedication to detail and the warm, welcoming environment we provide for families to connect and make lasting memories.

We’ve also grown beyond parties, offering activities like Mommy & Me yoga, baking workshops, music and movement classes, and seasonal events that bring the community together. Our mission is to inspire creativity, joy, and togetherness, whether through a magical birthday party or a fun-filled family event.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue collaborating with local businesses and introducing new, engaging experiences for kids and families. We’re proud to be a part of this amazing community and can’t wait to keep creating moments that kids and parents will cherish forever.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. Adaptability – In any business, especially one centered around families and children, flexibility is key. Being able to adjust plans, respond to feedback, and adapt to changing needs has been invaluable. For those starting out, I’d recommend staying open to learning and embracing challenges as opportunities to grow.
2. Creativity – Creating unique, memorable experiences for children requires constant innovation. Whether it’s designing events or developing new activities, thinking outside the box is essential. My advice: nurture your creativity by staying curious, exploring new ideas, and collaborating with others who inspire you.
3. Community Connection – Building strong relationships with families, local businesses, and the broader community has been one of the most rewarding aspects of this journey. For anyone starting out, focus on creating meaningful connections—listen, engage, and always strive to add value to the community you serve.

These qualities have shaped Laugh N Play into what it is today and can help guide anyone looking to build something truly impactful.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

In the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been in refining how I manage and balance the day-to-day operations of Laugh N Play. As the business has grown, I’ve had to become more strategic about delegating responsibilities, trusting my team, and creating systems that allow us to run smoothly even during our busiest times. This shift has given me more space to focus on long-term growth and innovation while ensuring every event runs seamlessly.

I’ve also gained a deeper understanding of what our community truly wants. By listening closely to feedback and constantly adjusting our offerings, I’ve been able to create new experiences that resonate with families, making Laugh N Play even more of a go-to destination for kids’ parties and family events. This process of adapting and improving has been incredibly rewarding.
