Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ramon Nuñez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ramon, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
Truthfully my resilience stems from within. And when I say that, I don’t necessarily mean it’s entirely a “me” thing. ‘Nature & nature’ has played a huge role in my life. Yes I’m a “go getter” because I have that dog within me. But I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the people around me. I was raised by a strong village so to speak. Seeing the resilience in my loved ones inspired/inspires me. My family & friends are tough as nails. They’ve overcome many real life obstacles. Witnessing that first hand showed me anything is possible. Now I take that mentally with me to the highest level.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’ve been working as a storyteller since I was a kid. Whether that’d be producing a short film for the internet, rehearsing a monologue, writing a song, etc. Being an artist- has always been in me. What I love about these mediums, film/tv & music, is that you’re able to transcend the audience & yourself to another moment in time. I find my art forms therapeutic, transcending & explorative.
I constantly am working on my crafts… I’d love for anyone reading to stay updated with me on social media. I have tons of exciting projects in the works. Such as a new TV show, new music singles. We’re building over here!!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
This is a great question. I’d say I’m relentless & disciplined. But it’s important to mention that I’m a student of life. I’m constantly keeping my eyes & ears open to the ‘right’ info. As long as I’m living on this planet, I won’t stop learning. My willingness to grow helps me improve on all aspects of my life.
Everyone’s journey is unique. But some universal advice I’d offer to the readers is to never stop going to class. Now hear me out.. this doesn’t mean keep going to school. I mean it figuratively. In class we learn, explore & create. Right? Well our lifetime is like one big class. We can never stop (we shouldn’t) learning, exploring & creating. I’d recommend looking at life through that lens. Perspective can make or break your ‘class’ experience.
Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
Time management & I have a strange relationship. I’ve struggled with this since I was a kid. This sounds like a therapy session now. A new method I recently started is to write my daily tasks down in a planner. I may or may not get to them on time. But at the least it gives me the opportunity to truly hold myself accountable. And with all that I do, all the hats I wear, I need structure. I can say thus far it’s been helping!
