We recently connected with Caitlin Zintl and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Caitlin with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My work ethic was instilled in me at young age by my parents. Growing up, I watched my mom and dad work hard at their jobs and at home. We were expected to help around the house and complete our homework in a timely manner, etc. In addition, I trained in classical ballet for 14 years (ages 4-18) at Classical Ballet Academy. This training had a huge impact on my work ethic, drive, determination, and so much more!
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a wife (Bill) and busy mom of two boys, Liam (4) and Gavin (9) based in Woodbury, MN. I share easy elevated fashion, home decor, and beauty favorites on social media to empower women/moms to feel and look their best. I started posting on Instagram as a creative outlet while working a full-time job. Following the birth of my youngest son during the pandemic, I left my job to stay at home. Following this decision, my creative outlet turned into a business as I began monetizing my content through brand partnerships. I’ve had the privilege of working with companies such as Von Maur, Bombas, Fabletics, Wantable, Boarderie, and more! I make it a point to work with companies/brands that align with my values, and share products I truly use and love. My goal is to foster a community of like-minded women/moms who support and inspire each other.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Resilience – Things don’t always go your way, but picking yourself back up when you fall is key to achieving your goals.
Persistence – When someone says “no” it may just be “no for now.” Don’t give up when you hit a roadblock or speed bump.
Consistency – Show up for yourself and your goals each day. Don’t wait to do something because it isn’t perfect — just start, and make adjustments/improvements along the way.
Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
I’m a big believer in to-do lists. For me, I’m old school with paper and check boxes! I make a to-do list each day with what I would like to accomplish. I prioritize my list by need vs. want. When I feel overwhelmed, I go back to my list and reprioritize. I also try to give myself grace knowing that not everything will get accomplished.
