We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Yulia Bliznyukova. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Yulia below.
Yulia, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I wouldn’t say that I completely developed it.
But for the past couple of years I’ve been working on that actively.
It got way better and I became very self conscious about what I am thinking.
Cause everything comes from within and we shape our reality with every single thought.
Also whatever we are thinking about ourselves, the external world will mirror it to us instantly.
So if I feel unconfident and insecure, no good can come out of it – I can loose a lot of possibilities and good things in life.
If I feel good about myself, I am grateful for this life and appreciate all the gifts that I got then everything becomes fruitful on the outside.
When I learned that and started integrating it into my reality everything has changed.
It still changes. It takes a lot of time, patience and appreciation.
Honestly spirituality helped me a lot. I have a few people that I look up to and from whom I learn wisdom. Listening to their podcast, going to workshops and etc.
Taro cards as well is my therapy. Whenever I need to talk to my subconscious and have a lot questions – I spread it and find answers.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a musician. Only this year I admitted it. So my career just has started.
Talking about self confidence – this is what was on my way all my life and I was denying the gift that I got.
I love to sing. I play guitar. Recently I started writing my own songs and planning on releasing the material next year.
Also I go to group vocal classes where is beautiful supportive community with a bunch of other great artists.
We actually just had live concert where I performed for the first time on stage after 10 year break (from high school).
It was one of the best feelings and truly transformative on the inside, cause I confirmed to myself what i was looking for – is to be an artist, a performer.
I see my future self – singing, rocking and dancing on stage, sharing my energy with the world!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Navigate your attention.
Know where your thoughts are and what you are doing at the moment.
Stop scrolling and looking at others people’s lives.
Sometimes I do detoxes and take breaks from social media and messaging for day or two, when I know it’s a day off or the weekend.
Helps me to listen to my desires more clearly and do a detour if needed.
Cause we often thinking and living what’s not even ours, but somebody else’s.
You know what I’m saying, right?
2. Trust your ideas.
Whenever you start doubting what you are about to create – just stop it.
Negative thinking is draining your energy. That energy, that came to you exactly for this specific idea.
If you are not going to release it nicely, it’s going to get at you not in a good way.
3. I also would say – do not compare yourself with anybody. Ever.
You are you. And they are they. Every single human being is unique and came to this planet to bring something new, to light someone else’s light, to inspire, to share.
Just simply work on your craft. Discipline and dedication will take you to a higher level and satisfaction.
But don’t get carried away. Listen to your needs as well. Everything must be at balance.
What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
Oh, I have so many.
If I feel overwhelmed – I’m gonna need to take a break for a whole day.
Cut social media and isolate myself. In order to reflect and see what adjustments I need to make.
I would ask myself: how am i feeling? and why am i feeling this way? what do i want at the moment?
Usually answers come right up.
But overall, I would go outside and take a long walk, get coffee alone, sit and journal.
Or listen to the music, dance it out, do a self care routine, meditate.
Then my energy comes up and we feel fine:)
