We were lucky to catch up with Ashley Stewart recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience from life events that has happened overtime from childhood until now adulthood. Being able to overcome adversity and hardship required lots of patience and positive thinking.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am Educator and Business Strategist. My favorite about both my career and business is that I spend my days doing what I love to do and that is “teaching”. I am living and walking in my purpose. My passion for teaching, makes my days even more exciting and fulfilling. During the school year, I spend my days teaching high school students soft skills and career readiness to prepare them for the workforce. I also run several businesses.
As a business strategist, I teach aspiring adult entrepreneurs how to find the right side hustles that fits with their needs. I’ve created Side Hustle School on Facebook for busy people like myself.
As an Educational Consultant, I started The Savvy Company, LLC is where we educate the next gen entrepreneurs, workforce, early childhood educators, and empower organizations to successfully meet both professional and business goals.
Our services include educational consultant for child care Directors and Administrators in Georgia and South Carolina. We coach and provided trainings to prepare early childhood educators that are looking to further their career as a childhood educator, and obtain their Preschool Child Development Associate.
We are looking to add an additional service -based program beginning September 1st, for schools and programs that teach students grades 6th -12th grade. This program creates access for teens and young adults (grade 6th -12th grade) to career skills trainings that’ll help students become ready for their future workplace. Learning opportunities include : developing employability skills and engaging in work-based experiences.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The most important qualities and skills that has help me achieve many of my goals included personal qualities as a leadership, humility, and confidence. The journey for me has not been easy for me so being able to apply these qualities with my skills & knowledge helped me along the way. In all, my biggest advice to anyone looking to pursue their dreams is to always be willing to learn.
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
In past 12 months of my life, I have found that focusing on “”me first contributes to my future focus energy and self-esteem. As a wife and mother, many times I found myself giving more to my family than myself. So in these past 12 months I have chosen to take time for me and that’s when I started having the energy to focus on my career and business.
Many ask “how do have so much time to accomplish all you do”, I real answer is I don’t. It was when I found that “self-care and building” is when the light bulb of success turned on. Those things that I thought was in far reached, was actually in the palm of my hand the entire time…..I just needed to make time for me.
