We recently connected with Brittany Taborn and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
Honestly, being healed through the power of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Really taking the time to do the things needed to be done mentally and emotionally gave me the ability to fully push through all the pain and hurt from the traumatic experiences. That gave me my confidence and my self esteem through my identity in Christ through faith, obedience, dedication and belief is what allowed me to be restored from what I lost from my past.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m Brittany, I’m originally from Kansas I currently reside in San Francisco,CA.
I’m a minister and advocate for sex trafficking, children exploitation, rape and domestic violence victims & survivors, I speak for 100 black women in Atlanta,GA I also speak for the D.A. of Fulton County human trafficking and special victims unit, I have a podcast called rescued for purpose and I also do life coaching for those coming out of any traumatic experiences.
I myself was rescued from being kidnapped and forced into sex trafficking and now I am used to help pull others out of that lifestyle and any other traumatic experiences and help them gain their access back to their life and purpose before any experiences that have occurred.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
My belief in God, helped me a lot, being open to his word and having faith. Me personally I encourage all to choose Jesus and have faith. Also, being open to change and moving forward from the things of the past that tried to destroy my life. Seeking God’s face through it all.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
Honestly,
Getting into the Holy Bible, allowing that to be my blueprint to my next steps after being free from being kidnapped and seeking God’s face in the midst of every part of it.
