We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tasha Copeland. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tasha below.
Tasha, we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?
For me, My self-care is deeply holistic. It’s not just about physical or mental health—it’s about creating a balance that honors all aspects of my identity. I believe self-care looks different for everyone, it all depends on where you are in your life. In addition to intentional habits, my Self-care top 4 that I have incorporated into my life are therapy, bodily movement, and connection embracing the power of the reset.
-Therapy challenges me to do the inner work in connection with my past, present and future.
-Bodily Movement keeps me sane! It helps me to stay grounded, feel confident, get motivated, clear my thoughts, and so- much more!
-Connecting with my family and friends is self-care for me. I don’t know if it’s because my love language is quality time, but being able to connect with people I care about fills my cup
-Embracing the power of the reset is key to my self-care routine, Making sure to take a break or rest when needed is something I never shy away from. This looks different depending on the day but it could be anything from taking a power nap (I’ve trained my body to do 20 minutes!) , going for a walk, meditation, or even watching the newest anime to relax my mind. I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and before the diagnosis, I would describe needing the rest as “I need to take a break, my brain is feeling like putty.” I was pretty self-conscious about it, but now I understand even more why I’ve embraced self-care as much I have.
All of these things help me to be effective and to feel like the most capable and thriving version of myself
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I have worked in sales pretty much my entire career, most recently with a focus on SAAS products. Navigating sales was not easy when I first started my career, and developing a growth mindset while nurturing my well-being, not only allowed me to excel in my career but also planted the seeds for the business I would eventually start about ten years later.
I’m the founder of The Elevate Box—a self-care subscription box designed to empower women to prioritize themselves through personal growth, self-care, and accountability. What excites me most about my work is seeing how small, consistent self-care rituals can spark big, transformational change. We curate products that align with our monthly themes to inspire our subscribers to grow into the best version of themselves while amplifying underrepresented brands.
I’m most excited about the AccountabiliTEA parties that will be taking place in 2025. These elevated wellness experiences are a collection of events that create space for Women to come together for self-care and connection. I’m also excited about the launch of our corporate gifting program. In addition to being able to purchase bulk, gender-neutral wellness boxes, We’re also rolling out exclusive wellness workshops for companies looking to promote work-life harmony for their teams. My goal is to inspire women—whether they’re navigating corporate careers or life’s transitions—to claim their space, nurture their well-being, and thrive unapologetically
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three things that have been most impactful for me:
1)Determination: My Grandmother is one of the strongest people I know and has always instilled in me the “where there is a will there is a way” attitude. From launching into a career with no college degree or experience to becoming an award-winning salesperson and Founder of a company that helps Women create lasting change in their lives through intentional habits, my determination, strength, and resilience that I learned from my Grandma have gotten me further than I would have ever thought possible. During my early childhood years, my mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. My grandparents raised me and my four siblings, and also cared for my mother at home. My mother’s MS became aggressively worse with each passing year. Despite this, my grandmother remain resilient in raising me and my siblings in a loving home.Growing up, I never realized that witnessing her determination would have such an impact on my own life.
2)Sales- I believe that we are all salespeople in some shape or form, and I believe my background in sales has helped me in both my career and business. In sales, I learned how to negotiate, how to build rapport, how to create influence, how to handle rejection- Some of these came naturally while others it took practice for me to hone in and grow that skill
3) Having a strong faith that edges on the side of Delulu – Sometimes when I think about how confident I am in my own journey and that of my business I scare myself. 😅 I believe the faith that I have in what I want and what I am building is so strong that it can be seen as delusional. But I also believe that to succeed, you have to have delusional faith in your dreams to achieve them.
(I’m not sure if I can add in anything religion-related but if so…here’s another line for the 3rd answer) I believe God gave me the vision for a reason, and will provide me with the necessary things I need to achieve my goals.
My biggest piece of advice for people who are early in their journey is to always be growing. No matter what level of your business or career you are in, having a growth mindset will take you far. With a growth mindset, you will be able to identify challenges and be motivated to learn the things that are necessary to overcome them. And also, don’t be afraid to have so much faith in what you’re doing that people call you delulu
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
.Collaboration is at the heart of The Elevate Box’s mission. For me, one of the most rewarding things about being the Founder of a subscription box is partnering with like-minded brands to elevate and amplify their small businesses. I’m specifically seeking partners in the self-care, wellness, and personal growth space who share our commitment to helping women live intentional, balanced lives. Whether it’s through featuring their products in our subscription boxes or co-hosting workshops and community events, my goal is to shine a spotlight on their creations and provide a platform to connect with our audience. Together, we can inspire more women to embrace the transformative power of self-care & Growth.
