We recently connected with Sarah Silver and have shared our conversation below.
Sarah, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
My resilience comes from a life full of experiences that have shaped who I am today. While I’ve faced my share of challenges and losses, each of them has helped me grow stronger and more adaptable. These moments taught me just how capable I am, even in adversity. After all, we make choices in life, we can choose to let things break us, or make us, I will always choose the latter of the two!
In my career, I’ve discovered the value of persistence and creativity. Every hurdle—whether it was navigating tough partnerships or managing unexpected costs, it pushed me to think outside the box and grow in ways I never thought possible. I’ve learned to approach challenges with a mindset that focuses on solutions and lessons, looking for the Silver linings in challenges is what it’s all about for me.
Seamless Destinations reflects this spirit. It’s not just a business; it’s a celebration of the resilience that has carried me through. I’m proud to provide a service that’s rooted in strength, growth, and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. Life’s challenges may be inevitable, but they’ve also been the foundation of some of my greatest achievements!
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I founded Seamless Destinations as a concierge-style property management company after nearly a decade in the short-term rental industry. My journey in this field began in 2015, where I purchased a little bungalow in the Twin Cities, where I am originally from. I then, converted our garage in Los Angeles, into guest house, and over the years, I expanded into multiple properties across Los Angeles and Minneapolis, learning the ins and outs of the business while balancing the demands of life and parenthood.
What makes Seamless Destinations special is our dedication to creating truly memorable stays through a hands-on, personalized approach. We go beyond standard property management, focusing on delivering an elevated experience for guests and providing peace of mind for property owners. Our goal is to turn every stay into an experience—one that feels seamless, welcoming, and unique to each guest.
Recently, we’ve expanded into managing properties for other owners who want the same high level of care and attention that I bring to my own properties. With my years of experience, I understand the complexities property owners face, from guest relations to maintenance and everything in between. Seamless Destinations takes on these challenges, so our clients can relax, knowing their investments are in safe and caring hands.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, three qualities have been most impactful for me, and that is resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to providing conceirge style service.
Resilience has helped me navigate challenges and setbacks, from unexpected expenses to tough client situations. For anyone starting out, remember that every setback can be a learning experience. Stay focused on your goals and keep moving forward.
Adaptability is essential in an ever-evolving industry. Embracing change, whether it’s new regulations or shifting client needs, being “fluid” has allowed me to stay ahead. My advice: stay curious, and view change as an opportunity for growth.
Hospitality is at the core of what we do at Seamless Destinations. Making guests feel genuinely welcome is more than just providing amenities; it’s about empathy and attention to detail. To stand out, focus on understanding and anticipating your clients’ needs.
Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
My biggest challenge right now is managing my time and letting go of certain tasks. Seamless Destinations has grown fast, and I’m used to handling a lot on my own to make sure our clients get top-notch service. To work through this, I’m focusing on hiring new team members and training the current ones I have in order for them to take on more roles so I can step back a bit. I can spend more time building client relationships and moving the business forward without getting bogged down in the day-to-day details.
