We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lee Chery a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Lee, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience come from my past failures and difficulties throughout my entrepreneurial endeavors.

My name is Lee Chery and I am a Fashion Entrepreneur. I launched a luxury streetwear brand called DISQUIZE back in 2018 after graduating from college. My brand’s mission is to disguise an exclusive population of professionals and entrepreneurs, who defy societal norms with a streetwear edge. What is truly special about this brand is our mission and values! DISQUIZE is truly for people who are prestigious and sophisticated but don’t necessarily show that image outside of their role, career, etc. Since we live in a society where people solely judge someone based on their image, people may not know how successful a person is behind the image they are judging. To be in DISQUIZE is to keep people guessing. Our brand gives people who are sophisticated a streetwear edge!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three skills that were most impactful in my journey was the understanding of fashion media, marketing strategies, and fashion production. My advice for anyone in this business is to get educated! This is very important before you even begin. You must know how to tell your story. There is so much more to launching a clothing line. You must understand BRANDING! I recommend anyone who is curious about starting a clothing line to educate themselves about branding, marketing, and fashion production.
How would you describe your ideal client?
Our ideal client is one who is from the ages 18-35 who are established in their careers or entrepreneurs! Our client’s are extraordinary in a way where they may be working as a lawyer but outside of their career you can spot them at a nightclub, or an event sporting a streetwear style. There is another side to all of our clients that’s hidden to the public outside of their careers! Our clients may look street but behind that image they may be doctors, lawyers, and successful business owners.
