Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

It turns out that being a 40 year Corporate Vet was not the only loyal and committed portion of my journey once I looked at my family history. I found that being resilient runs in my family. My cousin, Iola Johnson, won the Life Time Achievement Award from the Dallas-Forth Worth Association of Black Communicators. She was the first black newscaster in the state of Texas, and she was my personal example of never giving up, and not letting the doubts and the naysayers bring me down. I remember watching her so closely, and it’s really quite remarkable that I followed in her footsteps. I never pictured myself running a TV network, let alone the premier digital streaming platform that caters to the diverse business owner – most of our producers are women owned businesses, from diverse ethnic groups, and many are in the second season of their lives. And here we are, about to enter into our 5th season of production, on multiple digital streaming platforms, in over 350 million homes. Our recent collaboration with Cue & Coda Films has afforded us a unique opportunity to produce, distribute movies, documentaries and mini series on TV and in theatres
I use all the resilience God gave me.
Creating the Zondra TV Network has been a labor of love for the last 5 years, and we’ve created a solid foundation, known for excellence and resilience. Over the last 5 years, we’ve built relationships with the top streaming platforms like Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV and Comcast cable Regionally. And we didn’t stop there. We built an international global network with broadcast partnerships in the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Bahamas. We have become digital pioneers carrying the torch for business owners to find innovative ways to get their message in front of the masses.
It’s through my commitment to my producers that I find my resilience to be innovative and to scale our production. e built the TV / Media Producers Academy late 2019 and to date we have trained over 40 small business entrepreneurs to develop TV Shows and help them to create additional revenue streams in their core business. Zondra TV has turned into a multi-media platform company that is televised in over 12 plus different streaming platforms with hundreds of episodes and almost 4 dozen producers.
It takes all the resilience God gives me every single day to lead this network.
We’re honored that our resilience is paying off. Zondra TV has been recognized by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts twice as a Communicator Award winner for TV, Talk Show and Media. Zondra TV Network is featured among other winners of this award including Amazon, ESPN Films, Publicis Sapient, Macy’s, PepsiCo Design & Innovation, Forbes Media, and Savvy.
Because of our awards and success, I’ve been invited to be the keynote speaker, and share my message of “Why Media Matters” on countless talk shows and I’ve shared the stage with some of today’s top influential speakers such as Sharon Lechter Susie Carder, and Mark Victor Hansen.
I see the limitless opportunity with digital streaming technology. Recognizing that everyone watches television, and more importantly, everyone is streaming their television, I have invested my efforts into creating the most dynamic marketing platform with a reach of hundreds of millions of potential viewers. With a focus on women and minorities, I help provide a voice to people who have historically been denied one. I have designed our network specifically to provide distribution and visibility to small business entrepreneurs and solopreneurs, teaching entrepreneurs how to become TV producers, and how to scale and grow their business globally.
Where did my resilience come from? God breathes it into me every single day.

Angel Tuccy is my Public Relations Manager. Turns out that when I hired her she had previous TV experience… What a blessing this has been. She is an amazing thought partner and is instrumental in continuing to develop award winning strategies for the network. Dave Curlee has also been critically important to the TV Networks ability to present fresh content for our viewers and our producers. Dave is an amazing Producer and Director that has proven to be extremely valuable to the networks growth.
