We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Loren Riché. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Loren below.
Loren, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
I know that no matter how dark it is a midnight, the sun will rise at dawn everyday, even on the rainy clouded days. Right? So with this daily reminder, I can trust that no matter how dark my life’s night may feel or how strong the storms may be, the sun will shine again eventually. In my family we have this saying “It’ll get greater later”, see growing up things were really hard financially. My mom would always tell us I know things are hard right now but as long as you focus on what you are supposed to be focusing on (school) and stay out of trouble, I promise you things will get greater later. Don’t focus on the storm be grateful for the rain, the rain makes the trees grow! We all need the tree to breathe, Im learning to be grateful for every breath (so to speak) and understand the sun will always shine again!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am an artist, art is scared to me, art expresses itself through many medians with me. Music being my first expression. as I mentioned growing up was really hard not only due to financial reason but my environment. Music gave space to momentary escape and also explore. Explore other worlds and perspectives as I’d listen to the story told by the artist or the producers.
Initially I was just a pure lover and fan of music’s magic. In life I didn’t really possess the “know how” to express my feeling, thoughts, and even at time traumas, this lead me to writing. I have also always had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, I would literally sit in the room and read the thesaurus for hours just so I could know as many words as possible, so I could rhyme them. I found my voice through a pen. To this day music is still affording me an escape and opportunities to explore and travel, meet some of the most amazing people on the planet inside and out rather it be via me being featured on a song, writing for another artist, assisting with vocals, recording, whatever. I am currently performing in the US, songs like “Tunnel Vision” of HeadKrack’s most recent project “Mikrodose”. Which is a self-help, therapeutic, let’s talk about it project that HK was released early this year.
I am currently modeling between ATL, MIA, and LA. I have a brand “RICHÉAttire” that sells my merchandise as well as limited edition piece that are sustainable fashion only available at the quarterly pop up shops (15% of all proceeds are donated to local schools for supplies or food drives).
I feel extremely grateful to be able to share with people in hopes that it can enrich their life, rather its a financial contribution I can make or sharing mistakes/lesson Ive learned and save them some times in trying to learn the lesson from scratch, to sharing my victories and triumphs so they can be sure it is possible!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My three qualities, in no particular order are being tenacious, organized, and receptive/flexible. .When you’re building yourself or your dream life, you are going to have to have a tenacity about you. Ive heard it said “God gave you the vision because it’s for you”, most people may not “see it” when you share your dream or journey with them. Any one who accomplished anything great in any industry or aspect faced many “no”s, much discouragement, some were ridiculed for their vision, this is why you have to be tenacious.
Organization, this is another major skill I am still working on mastering, but being organized will make you a more efficient and effective person in everything you do. Being organized helps you keep track of where you are, where you’re headed, it helps save time, you are easier to work with so you will naturally be afforded more opportunities than someone not organized. For me, I can’t function creatively unless I am in an organized space, even as create its another fun process to organize my thoughts and feelings.
Then of course Flexibility/Adaptability, apart of being flexible is being receptive. I truly have learned that in order to be the best version of myself as a artist, model, and person , I have to be receptive and open to criticism, truth, new ideas, new ways of doing things, information, etc. You have to be able to adapt and continuously transform to reach new heights of your craft. This may look like going to school for classes or lesson, this may look like getting a gym membership, it may look like reading a thesuarus for hours, learning a second language. “Always adding to your tool belt” as D.Cross always says.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Yes, always. Currently as an artists looking for creatives (Videographers, Directors, Photographers, Stylist as well as other writers and producers) as well as Social Media managers, PR agents, Management. I am always looking to collaborate with sincere people who have a unique vision with their art of choice.
As Far as RICHÉ attire goes, I am looking for seamstress and well as models in the Atlanta/Los Angeles/Miami areas.
