Meet Corina Lipavsky

We recently connected with Corina Lipavsky and have shared our conversation below.

Corina, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

Optimism for me is rooted in two key things: my mindset and my experiences. I’ve always believed in the power of perseverance and the idea that even the toughest challenges come with lessons. Growing up, I saw how small steps forward—whether in personal goals or professional projects—eventually led to big achievements. That gave me a sense of hope and confidence in the process.

Another big influence is the people around me. I’ve been fortunate to have mentors, family, and friends who’ve modeled resilience and positivity, showing me how to re-frame setbacks as opportunities for growth.

Ultimately, my optimism comes from a blend of believing in the potential for improvement, embracing a learning mindset, and surrounding myself with people who inspire me to keep moving forward.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m a Venezuelan digital artist recently based in Miami, working with electronic media and generative tools like code and AI to create instruction-based artworks. My practice spans printed works, audiovisual and digital applications, NFTs, and interactive installations. At the core of my work is an exploration of the relationships between art, nature, and technology, often through speculative and experimental lenses.

I’m particularly inspired by the pioneering theories of biologists Lynn Margulis and Donna Haraway, as well as the speculative worlds of sci-fi writers like Ursula K. Le Guin and Octavia Butler. These influences shape my recent projects under the theme of Bio Sci-Fi, which delves into living systems, hybrid organisms, and interspecies communication. What excites me most is imagining posthuman, ecocentric possibilities for coexistence and challenging conventional narratives through digital creativity.

Through my art, I strive to speculate on futures that embrace hybridity and interconnection, fostering conversations about how we coexist with each other and the ecosystems around us. I’m grateful to contribute to this evolving dialogue and look forward to sharing this vision with a broader audience.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three key factors that have significantly shaped my journey are: an endless curiosity and a willingness to experiment, a strong conceptual foundation and openness to collaboration and feedback.

For those early in their journey I’d suggest to develop these same qualities. Nurture curiosity, don’t be afraid to explore new tools or ideas outside your comfort zone. Experimentation is where innovation happens. Build a theoretical and emotional foundation. Read widely, and draw from fields that resonate with you—be it biology, literature, or philosophy. These foundations will inform your unique perspective and give your work a voice. Find your community. Seek out peers, mentors, and collaborators who challenge and inspire you. Constructive feedback is invaluable for growth.

Most importantly, remember that every step—success or setback—is part of the process. Stay open, adaptable, and passionate about your vision.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Collaboration is something I deeply value in my creative process, and I’m always open to partnering with like-minded individuals or groups. I believe that the intersection of different perspectives is where the most innovative ideas emerge.

In particular, I’m looking to collaborate with people who are passionate about art and technology—whether they’re fellow artists, designers, technologists, engineers, marketers or even scientists. I’m also interested in working with those who are curious about speculative futures, bio-science fiction, and alternative ways of thinking about coexistence. If you’re someone who enjoys pushing creative boundaries, loves experimenting with new tools and media, and is open to thinking about the world in new ways, I’d love to connect!

If you’re interested in collaborating, feel free to reach out to me via instagram at @corina_lipavsky or through my website corinalipavsky.com. I’m excited about the possibilities and look forward to hearing from fellow creators who share the same passion for innovation and creative exploration.
