Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Uncle Manny. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Uncle, so happy to have you with us today and there is so much we want to ask you about. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others developed certain skills or qualities that we are struggling with can be helpful. Along those lines, we’d love to hear from you about how you developed your ability to take risk?
As I got older I realized opportunities sometimes come but once . Which means missing the time or opportunity to do something would mean losing out on the moment forever and I’m someone who wants to live life without regrets . I would rather do than live to say I should have in the future .
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am an entrepreneur, influencer, model ,ceo of Uman clothing , and I event plan and party promote bringing different cultures together through music . Lately I have found interests in careers or professions such as be a DJ and producing artists.
Next year my goal is to be able to to a give away where I can send a family out of state or country as my way of giving back to the community. I also want to be able to do more donations and impact more lives .
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Patience – I had to be patient with the process and not rush my decisions. I had to be patient and wait my turn because thanks to social media sometimes you will see people in places where you think or feel you deserve to be but I told myself “be patient , your time is coming”.
Understanding& respect – in every aspect of our lives , I believe respect goes a long way and just being a respectful man has opened a lot of doors for me just by carrying myself in that manner . I understand that life has its up and downs but I take lemons life throw at me and make lemonade.
Faith in myself : everyone has something in this world that they are good at . You just have to find out what that thing is for you … work on that thing and become the best in your field ! Hard work beats talents when talent doesn’t work hard enough !
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Having a great support system and people who are not afraid to let me know when I’m wrong has helped me a lot in my journey . I don’t believe in learning from my mistakes , i believe in learning from the experiences of others and making it work for me !
